BRODHEAD - Ruth Kathryn Pryce, 92, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2008 at Mercy Hospital, Janesville.
She was born March 31, 1916 in Decatur Township, the daughter of Paul and Mae (Hooker) Culles.
She married Charles Melvin Pryce, Sr. on December 14, 1935 in Belvidere, IL. He passed away in 1982.
Ruth was a member of Wallace-Culles-Maveus VFW Auxiliary. For many years, she drove school bus and worked for Apco Mfg. She and her husband also managed Decatur Lake Country Club.
Ruth's happiness in life was caring for her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Franklyn, Gerald, and Charles "Chuck" (Geri), all of Brodhead; daughter, Nancy (Michael) Oschin of Temecula, CA; grandchildren, Kevin, Eric, Troy, Doug (Sherri), Terri (Kurt), Curt (Julie), and Ronnette (Todd); 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Mary Jane (David) Morgan of Brodhead; many nieces and nephews, and a very special friend Harlene Gerber of Brodhead.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers George and Oliver Culles, and sister, Bessie DeVoe.
Funeral services will be held at D. L. Newcomer Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2009.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
