Rodney K. Rowe, age 75, of Darlington, WI, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison, WI. He was born March 21, 1939 in Darlington the son of Albert and Winifred (Arnsmeier) Rowe. Rodney graduated from Darlington High School in 1957. He served in the United States Army from 1963 until he was honorably discharged in 1965. Rodney was united in marriage to Jane Roberts on May 29, 1971 at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Shullsburg, WI. He lived and farmed on the Rowe Family Farm in Darlington Township until 1987. One day later he began as a Diesel Mechanic for Truck Country in Shullsburg, where he worked until his retirement in 2005.

Rodney is survived by one daughter: Ann (Bob) Lawinger of Monroe, WI; two grandchildren: Dayne and Brody Keith Lawinger both of Monroe; two sisters: Anita (Floyd) Thornton of Evansville, WI, and Karlena (Rob) Woodward of Shullsburg; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister: Thurley Frontz on July 29, 1993. Rodney enjoyed tractor pulling and flea markets in his younger years. He was a charter member of Badger State Tractor Pullers. Rodney was an avid NASCAR fan.

A visitation will be held Sunday, June 29, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Erickson Funeral Home, 508 Main Street in Darlington. As per Rodney's wishes private funeral services will be held. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com.
