Robert H. Sutter, age 76 of Monroe, Wisconsin, died Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Monroe Clinic Hospital. He was born January 1, 1932 in Monroe, the son of Alex and Ella (Hanson) Sutter and attended Round Grove School.

Robert and Karen Lengacher were married on January 7, 1953 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Monroe and they farmed on the Sutter Family farm in Monroe Township. Robert enjoyed riding motorcycles, snowmobiling, and his time with family. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.

Surviving are his wife, Karen Sutter of Monroe; sons, Robert Gary (Jan) Sutter of Beaver Dam, Steve (Charmel) Sutter of Monroe, Roger (Karan) Sutter of Monroe, and Mike (Bobbie) Sutter of Green Bay; sisters, Bernice Gordon of Monroe and Betty (Joe) Klessinger of Monroe; and grandchildren, Kim, Justin, Dan, Gwen, Alex, and Emily. He was predeceased by his parents and uncle, Walter.

A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home in Monroe.

Private family services and burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe.
