Albany Police

ALBANY - Stanley L. Schmid, 59, Albany, was arrested Friday, Sept. 13, on a charge of felony bail jumping.



Monroe Police

MONROE - Michael A. Bell, 22, South Wayne, was arrested in the 600 block of 6th Avenue West at 6:33 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, on a warrant issued by the Lee County (Iowa) Sheriff's Department. He was jailed.

• Destiny E. Parkin, 18, Monroe, was arrested in the 2300 block of 16th Avenue at 5:18 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, on a warrant issued by the Beloit Police Department. She was jailed.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Richard Calvin Johann, 33, Monroe, was arrested on charges of battery and disorderly conduct after deputies were dispatched to Sir Buk's Dance Club, W5222 County KK, Monroe Township, for a report of an assault. He was jailed. Johann was kicked out of the club after allegedly getting into a fight inside with another man. The other man sustained minor injuries and declined medical treatment. Johann's signature bond is set at $2,000, with the conditions that he have no contact with the alleged victim and not drink or go into bars or liquor stores. Not-guilty pleas are entered in his case. His pre-trial conference is Nov. 5.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Angelic M. Foht, 28, Cuba City, was cited for failure to have control of a vehicle and driving with a suspended license after she was injured in a one-vehicle accident in Benton Township at 7:25 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13. Foht was northbound on Dump Road when she got distracted by something falling to the floor of her Jeep SUV. She then lost control, and the SUV veered off the road and hit a tree. She was taken by Hazel Green EMS to a Dubuque hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The Benton Fire Department and Benton First Response assisted at the scene. The Jeep SUV was moderately damaged and towed.

• Jim Therapos, 63, Racine, was cited for speeding on Wisconsin 11 in Shullsburg Township at 7:17 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14.

• Richard J. Surek, 41, Middleton, was cited for having open intoxicants in a vehicle on County XX in Belmont Township at 9:45 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14. He was a passenger in the vehicle.

• Brandon Thomas Ziller, 18, Argyle, was cited for failure to obey an officer's signal and unreasonable and imprudent speeding after Green County and Lafayette County deputies investigated a one-vehicle crash in Green County on Wildlife Road south of County A in Adams Township at 11:55. p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14. Ziller had been attempting to elude a Lafayette County deputy when he lost control of his truck on the gravel road. The truck went off the road and overturned. Ziller was uninjured. The truck was towed.

• Three boys were taken into custody and cited for numerous offenses after deputies were called to 1st Avenue in Benton at 5:17 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, for a report of suspicious activity involving two vehicles and an inordinate amount of noise. The boys were involved in a series of joy-riding incidents that occurred over the previous two nights in Benton, Shullsburg, Elk Grove and New Diggings Townships. They will be cited for driving without licenses and referred to Lafayette County Juvenile Intake for criminal charges, including theft and criminal damage to property. The boys were turned over to their parents.

• Thomas T. Huska, 56, Lily, was cited for speeding, failure to display a license plate, obstructing an officer and driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 10:53 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 15. A passenger, Patricia A. Huska, 50, Lily, was also cited for obstructing an officer.

• Lucas M. Adams, 25, Shullsburg, was cited for selling tobacco products to a minor at a location on West Water Street in Shullsburg at 10:05 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15.

• A deputy took a traffic complaint at 3:46 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, of dump trucks being operated in a careless manner on Kennedy Road in Benton Township.

• A small child mistreating a dog on Main Street in Benton was reported at 4:28 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13.

• A deputy assisted Shullsburg police with a theft investigation at a residence on Sydney Street in Shullsburg at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13.

• Disorderly conduct involving a parent and child at Swift Park in Benton was reported at 7:10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13.

• At 7:19 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, a deputy investigated a hit-and-run accident that occurred on County F in Darlington Township. A pickup truck veered off the road and hit a mailbox, then drove off. The incident remains under investigation.

• A deputy responded to a civil dispute between adjacent land owners on Dobbs Road in Lamont Township at 10:32 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14.

• A dog causing damage to a neighbor's livestock on Parkinson Road in Fayette Township was reported at 12:05 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14.

• A deputy responded to a complaint at 3:19 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, of patrons at a business on County W in New Diggings standing in the road and creating a traffic hazard.

• A deputy took a report of a civil dispute on 2nd Avenue in Benton at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14. Two people were involved in a disagreement over payment for items sold privately from a residence.

• A theft was reported at a residence on Arbor Street in Benton at 4:47 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14. Gasoline and other items were missing from a vehicle parked at the residence.

• A deputy responded to a residence on West Water Street in Shullsburg for a noise complaint at 7:35 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15.
