BRODHEAD POLICE

BRODHEAD - For the week of Sept. 4 to Sept. 10, there were 43 citizen assists, 36 traffic stops, 23 vehicle registrations, 18 calls for service, 14 security checks, seven assists of other agencies, five 911 calls, five EMS calls, two fire calls and one mental health transport.

On Sept. 4:

• A 53-year-old Beloit man was cited at 5:01 a.m. for speeding in the 800 block of East Exchange Street.

• A 52-year-old Milton woman was arrested at 8:53 p.m. for disorderly conduct in the 400 block of 1st Center Avenue.

• A 29-year-old Brodhead man was cited at 9:10 p.m. for disorderly conduct in the 1000 block of 21st Street.

• A 36-year-old Beloit man was cited at 9:13 p.m. for speeding and driving without vehicle insurance in the 2500 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Sept. 6:

• A 22-year-old Madison man was cited at 12:57 a.m. for speeding in the 100 block of East 9th Avenue.

• A 36-year-old Brodhead woman was arrested at 4:37 a.m. for aggravated battery, intimidation of a victim and disorderly conduct in the 1000 block of 21st Street. A 20-year-old Brodhead man was also arrested for substantial battery, intimidation of a victim and disorderly conduct. Both were jailed.

• A 46-year-old Brodhead woman was cited at 12:06 p.m. for a seatbelt violation in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue.

• A 42-year-old Orfordville woman was cited at 2:14 p.m. for speeding in the 300 block of East 9th Avenue.

• A 27-year-old Maryville, Tennessee man was cited at 3:21 p.m. for a seatbelt violation in the 1400 block of West 7th Avenue.

On Thursday:

• A 73-year-old East Troy man was cited at 1:27 p.m. for speeding in the 100 block of East 9th Avenue.

• A theft was reported at 3:58 p.m. in the 1500 block of West 2nd Avenue.

On Friday:

• A 36-year-old Brodhead woman and a 20-year-old Brodhead man were arrested at 5:05 p.m. for bail jumping in the 1000 block of 21st Street.

• A 29-year-old Brodhead man was cited at 9:24 p.m. for driving with a revoked license and failing to install an ignition interlock device in the 1800 block of 1st Center Avenue.

• A 27-year-old Monroe woman was cited at 9:38 p.m. for speeding in the 2300 block of East 9th Avenue.

• A 50-year-old Round Lack Beach, Illinois, man was cited at 9:52 p.m. for speeding in the 100 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Saturday:

• A 24-year-old Juda man was arrested at 2:10 a.m. for disorderly conduct and a 22-year-old Brodhead man was arrested for disorderly conduct and possession of THC after a fight was reported in the 900 block of West Exchange Street.

• Vehicles being broken into were reported at 1:52 p.m. in the 400 block of 4th Street.

• A theft was reported at 7:50 p.m. in the 700 block of 8th Street.



MONROE POLICE

MONROE - On Friday, Mark A. Lang, 29, Monroe, was arrested at 1:43 a.m. on a Winnebago County warrant in the 1200 block of 9th Street. Lang was jailed.

On Saturday:

• Alberto Pelaez Garcia, 37, Monroe, was arrested at 12:23 a.m. on a Sauk County warrant and for obstructing an officer in the 900 block of 16th Avenue. Garcia was jailed.

• Efrain Alonzo Ponce, 42, Janesville, was arrested at 12:23 a.m. for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest in the 1100 block of 16th Avenue. Ponce was jailed.



NEW GLARUS POLICE

NEW GLARUS - On Sept. 5:

• A cellphone was reported lost at 8:23 a.m. in the village park. Anyone who has found a cell phone is encouraged to contact the New Glarus Police.

• Devyn M. Van Camp, 23, Marshfield, was cited at 9:48 a.m. for failing to stop at a stop sign on Railroad Street.

• Keith E. Geisler, 53, Monroe, was cited at 10:38 a.m. for a seatbelt violation on Wisconsin 69.

• David A. Haugh, 49, Mount Horeb, were cited at 2:28 p.m. for a seatbelt violation on Wis. 69.

• An injured rabbit was reported at 4:22 p.m. in the 500 block of 12th Avenue. The rabbit was found dead a short time later.

• Jessica M. Olson, 27, Monticello, was cited at 7:43 p.m. for driving without a valid license.

• A lost wallet was found at 8:56 p.m. and was returned to its owner.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff at 8:58 p.m. with a traffic stop near the intersection of Wis. 69.

• A suspicious vehicle was reported at 11:44 p.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69.

On Sept. 6:

• Lynda M. Blum, 64, Monticello, was cited at 11:17 a.m. for a seatbelt violation on Wis. 69.

• A parking complaint was reported at 11:44 a.m. in the 100 block of 11th Avenue.

• Beverly J. Krueger, 73, Evansville, was cited at 12:05 p.m. for a seatbelt violation on 6th Avenue.

• Tammy S. Herrington, 43, Monroe, was cited at 1:03 p.m. for driving without vehicle insurance on Wis. 69.

• Philip D. Hoffman, 32, Monroe, was cited at 4:25 p.m. for a seatbelt violation on Wis. 69.

• Cristian H. Garamendi, 43, Madison, was cited at 5:32 p.m. for a seatbelt violation and driving without vehicle insurance on Wis. 69.

On Wednesday:

• Police helped unlock a vehicle at 4:32 p.m. on 1st Street.

• A sexual assault was reported at 9:31 p.m. The incident remains under investigation.

On Thursday:

• Police assisted the Green County Human Services at 10 a.m. with investigating an alleged child abuse case.

• Police assisted a citizen at 6:27 p.m. with disposing old firearm ammunition.

On Friday:

• A suspicious person was reported at 3:43 p.m. .In the 600 block of 14th Avenue.

• A person reported missing property at 7:19 p.m. in the 500 block of 1st Street.

• Police assisted the Brodhead Police at 5 p.m. with traffic enforcement.

• A 911 misdial occurred at 8:27 p.m. in the 200 block of 5th Avenue.

On Saturday:

• Police cited a vehicle at 3:42 p.m. for improper parking in the 500 block of 1st Street.

• Police checked the welfare of a person at 3:48 p.m. who had been sitting in a truck for some time. The person was found to be fine.

• Police assisted the Ridgeway Police at 9:03 p.m. with an ongoing investigation.

On Sunday:

• A lost child was reported at 11:20 a.m. in the village park. The child was found shortly thereafter.

• A parking complaint was made at 11:01 a.m. in the 100 block of 4th Avenue.

• A set of keys was reported missing at 8:01 p.m. in the village park. Anyone who has found a set of keys is encouraged to notify the New Glarus Police.

• A firearm was reportedly discharged at 8:44 p.m. in an apartment building. The incident remains under investigation.



GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - On Saturday, Dillin J. Thompson, 24, Cuba City, was arrested at 2:10 a.m. for driving while intoxicated and was cited for driving with a prohibited blood alcohol content and failure to stop at a stop sign in the 300 block of West 6th Avenue.



LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• A traffic complaint was made at 8:38 a.m. on County D, Town of Fayette.

• A burglar alarm was triggered at 9:10 a.m. on Tollakson Road, Town of Wayne.

• Caroline J. Broderick, 19, Chicago, was cited at 5:55 p.m. for inattentive driving, speeding, driving without a valid license and without proof of vehicle insurance on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

• A 911 hang-up occurred at 6:54 p.m. on Water Street in Shullsburg.

• A suspicious vehicle was reported at 6:56 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Willow Springs.

• Pilar Arroyo-Magana, 20, Clio, Alabama, and Diana Arroyo-Magana, 23, Belmont, were arrested at 8:48 p.m. for disorderly conduct on North Mound Avenue in Belmont and were jailed.

• Antonio Arguelles-Garcia, 32, Darlington, was cited at 8:59 p.m. for speeding, a speedometer violation, and driving without a valid license and proof of vehicle insurance on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.

On Saturday:

• Livestock on the roadway were reported at 1:40 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs.

• A suspicious vehicle was reported at 5:34 a.m. on Burr Oak Road, Town of Belmont.

• A noise complaint was made at 6:42 p.m. on School Street in Gratiot.

• Jamie R. Bartell, 26, Platteville, was cited at 7:57 p.m. for speeding and driving without proof of vehicle insurance.

• Roxane M. Broadhurst, 54, Frankfort, Illinois, was cited at 8:58 p.m. for speeding on Wis. 81, Town of Elk Grove.

On Sunday:

• An erratic driver was reported at 1:53 a.m. on County K, Town of Darlington.

• A non-residential burglar alarm was triggered at 3:45 a.m. on South State Street in Argyle.

• An erratic driver was reported at 3:42 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Benton.

• A 911 hang-up was reported at 3:47 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg.

• A civil dispute was reported at 8:28 p.m. on County G, Town of Willow Springs.
