DARLINGTON - Enrique Alba, 35, Darlington, was arrested on charges of driving without a license and without vehicle insurance at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, following a traffic stop on Galena Street. Alba was released after posting bond.
A 16-year-old Shullsburg male was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, violating his Graduated Driver License by having too many passengers in his vehicle and driving without proof of insurance at 10:08 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, following a traffic stop on Wisconsin 23. He was released to parents pending future court proceedings.
A 16-year-old Darlington male was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of non-prescribed pharmaceuticals at 3:41 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24. The arrest was a result of an early morning search warrant conducted at a residence on Clayton Drive. The teen was booked into the Lafayette County Jail and later released to parents pending future court proceedings. The Darlington Police K-9 Unit and Lafayette County Sheriff's Department assisted.

MONROE - On Tuesday, Oct. 23:
Sarah J. Roesslein, 34, Monroe, was arrested in the 600 block of 20th Avenue at 9:56 p.m. on an outstanding warrant issued by the Brodhead Police Department for theft of library materials. She was later released from custody pending a court appearance.
Chantel M. Williams, 17, Monroe, was cited for failure to yield right-of-way at a stop sign after police responded at 7:48 a.m. to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at the intersection of 17th Avenue and 14th Street. Williams collided with a vehicle driven by Amber M. Corning, 30, Argyle. Both vehicles sustained minor damage.

MONROE - On Tuesday, Oct. 23:
Patrick J. Roach, 54, Fitchburg, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated (first offense) after deputies responded at 3:19 p.m. to a traffic complaint. It was reported that a silver minivan was continuously traveling left of center and also headed southbound in the northbound lane in the N6600 block of Wis. 69 in the Town of Mount Pleasant. Deputies located the offending vehicle north of Monroe. Roach was also cited for driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration and operating left of center. He was released pending court.
Justin W. Hartwig, 27, Belleville, was arrested on charges of battery, disorderly conduct, strangulation, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at 9:29 p.m., after deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on Doyle Road in the Town of Exeter. He was jailed pending court.
Charges are pending against Stanley L. Schmid, 58, Albany, following a traffic crash at 9:20 a.m. on Wis. 59 near Towns Road. Schmid was westbound when he lost control on a curve, went into the ditch and struck a driveway culvert. The vehicle sustained moderate front-end damage and was driven from the scene.
Benjamin A.C. Albright, 30, Winslow, Ill., was cited for failure to yield right-of-way at a yield sign following a two-vehicle crash at 2:42 a.m. on County M at County B in the Town of Cadiz. Albright collided with a vehicle driven by Nathan L. Drewes, 33, Monroe. Both vehicles were moderately damaged and driven from the scene.
Kathleen A. Franklin, 57, Brooklyn, was cited for driving with a suspended license and taken by Belleville EMS to an area hospital for treatment of injuries she sustained in an animal vs. vehicle crash at 10:20 p.m. in the W2200 block of Wis. 92 in the Town of Brooklyn. Franklin reported she swerved to miss an animal in the road and lost control, colliding with a mailbox, a farm fence and a culvert. The vehicle then rolled over and came to a rest on its wheels. The vehicle was severely damaged and towed. The Belleville Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Sherri L. Byrne, 55, Shullsburg, was cited for speeding at 7:08 a.m. on Wis. 11 in Benton.
Neil A. Duffy, 24, Wheaton, Ill., was cited for speeding at 2:20 p.m. on Wis. 23 in the Town of Darlington.
Melinda J. Mascagni, 32, Platteville, was cited for speeding at 3:25 p.m. on Wis. 81 in the Town of Seymour.
Kyle E. Gille, 16, Darlington, was cited for unsafe passing of a turning vehicle after deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident with injuries at 4:38 p.m. on Wis. 23 in the Town of Willow Springs. Gille was behind a vehicle driven by Jeremy M. Mullen, 32, Darlington. When Mullen slowed and turned left into a private driveway, Gille pulled out to pass him and struck Mullen's vehicle before veering into the opposite ditch and hitting a mailbox. Mullen was taken by Rural Medical Ambulance to Lafayette County Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Gille and a passenger in Mullen's vehicle, Melissa Gollmer, 40, Darlington, reported minor injuries but declined medical treatment at the scene. Both vehicles were extensively damaged and towed. The Darlington Fire Department and Mineral Point Rescue Squad assisted at the scene.
At 10:05 a.m., a deputy investigated a report that the back windshield of a vehicle on East Milwaukee Street in Argyle was busted out during the previous night.
Several pieces of jewelry were reported stolen from a residence on Whiteside Road in the Town of Wiota at 3 p.m.
Deputies responded at 9:48 p.m. to a verbal dispute between two males at a residence on Main Street in Gratiot. The dispute was a civil matter in reference to personal property.
