MONROE - On Friday, Oct. 4:
An ex-wife in the 1500 block of 13th Street called at 12:57 p.m. to report her ex-husband for coming to pick up their child outside the times set forth in their divorce decree. He then called at 7:40 p.m. to report his ex-wife for a related custody dispute issue. The dispute has been going on for years and is civil, not criminal. Police referred the ex-spouses to their lawyers.
Green County Human Services reported a possible child abuse case at 2:20 p.m. A 6-year-old came to school with a sore eye and said a parent poked them.
A theft and forging of personal checks was reported at 2:52 p.m. in the 1900 block of 10th Street.
Green County Human Services reported a suspected theft of medication from an elderly person at 4:38 p.m.
A possible vehicle fire was reported at 5:10 p.m. in the 200 block of 8th Street. The driver had a locked-up brake and it was causing steam, not smoke.
A gas drive-off was reported at 6:03 p.m. at the Monroe Northsider, 180 N. 18th Ave.
A theft and forging of personal checks was reported at 8:27 p.m. in the 300 block of 4th Street.
A woman came in at 8:49 p.m. with a complaint that she let her boyfriend take her phone on the condition that he drop it off at her mother's place in Illinois. He didn't return the phone. Police advised her this is a civil case, not criminal.
A group of teens was reported walking in the road and yelling at passing cars in the area of 13th Street and 20th Avenue at 11:37 p.m. Police warned them to stop.
On Saturday, Oct. 5:
A gas drive-off was reported at 1:09 a.m. at Stop-N-Go, 1607 9th St. Police followed up and the person came back and paid for the gas.
A custody dispute was reported at 10:35 a.m. The father, from Orangeville, complained the mother was supposed to bring the children from Monroe to Orangeville and didn't. He came back to police with a follow-up custody complaint at 5:27 p.m. Police advised him to take his concerns to court.
Police responded to a 911 hangup at 5:32 p.m. from a payphone at a Laundromat in the 2900 block of 13th Street. A mother and her 8-year-old child at the Laundromat denied making the call.
A friendly young kitten was reported found at 7:56 p.m. in the 500 block of 17th Avenue. The person who found it took it to the Green County Humane Society.

MONROE - Loren C. Bowen, 26, Albany, was arrested on a probation violation at 3:58 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Green County Sheriff's Department. He was jailed.

DARLINGTON - On Thursday, Oct. 10:
Bryce W. Blackbourn, 22, Shullsburg, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated at 2:51 a.m. on County J in Benton Township. He was also cited for failure to keep his vehicle under control. He was released to a responsible adult pending court.
Timothy R. Proctor, 24, Argyle, was cited for speeding at 7:46 a.m. on Wisconsin 23 in Willow Springs Township.
A deputy took a report at 3:08 p.m. of a civil dispute that occurred on County F in Willow Springs Township.
An erratic driver was reported at 7:25 p.m. on County O in Shullsburg Township. A deputy checked the area but did not locate the vehicle.
