Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Two teens from Ohio were taken into custody after deputies checked on a vehicle parked at Cadiz Springs State Park at 1:57 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9. Kurt Vincent Wells, 18, Fairborn, was arrested and jailed pending court on charges of interfering with child custody and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is being extradited to Ohio. The 16-year-old girl with Wells was taken into custody on behalf of the Lake County (Ohio) Sheriff's Department and transported to a secure facility pending her return to Ohio.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Wednesday, Oct. 9:

• Jason A. Dammen, 33, Blanchardville, was cited for a defective speedometer at 8:17 a.m. on Old Q Road in Argyle Township.

• A theft was reported at 11:58 a.m. on Donald Lane in Gratiot Township.

• Patrick J. Hanley, 18, Shullsburg, was cited for non-registration of a motor vehicle, displaying fake registration plates and driving without vehicle insurance at 12:54 p.m. on Charity Street in Shullsburg.

• A deputy took a report at 7:58 p.m. of a family dispute that occurred on Holland Road in Seymour Township.
