Monroe Police

MONROE - On Monday, Nov. 26:

• William T. Siegenthaler, 36, Monroe, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, battery and attempted strangulation after police responded at 3:30 a.m. to an altercation at a home in the 2000 block of 15th Avenue. He allegedly hit a 26-year-old Monroe woman and pushed her up against a wall, grabbed her around the neck and started suffocating her, leaving her with bruising. Police reports also indicate he threw two cellphones on the floor and stepped on them, breaking them. He signed a $2,500 signature bond the following day, with the conditions that he have no contact with the alleged victim except to exchange their child. His preliminary hearing is scheduled Dec. 18.

• Thomas C. Tullis, 60, Monroe, was cited for failure to yield right-of-way at a stop sign after police responded at 6:50 p.m. to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at North 18th Avenue and 1st Street. Tullis collided with a vehicle driven by Ellen M. Phillips, 39, Monroe.

• The burglary of a storage unit at Storage Haus, 668 1st Ave., was reported at 10:09 a.m. The lock had been cut, and the owner told police the thief took sports memorabilia and possibly other items. Police are investigating leads.

• A coat with keys in the pocket was reported lost at 4:50 p.m. in the 2200 block of 4th Street. If found, call dispatch at (608) 329-2400.

• A 36-year-old man was warned for skateboarding in the 800 block of 6th Street at 5:30 p.m.

• A Chicago woman reported at 7:30 p.m. her name was unlawfully used to make a $700 order from Colony Brands, 1112 7th Ave.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Michael D. Lacourse, 23, Oregon, was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense) after deputies responded at 7:24 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, to a single-vehicle crash in the W1000 block of Wisconsin 59 in the Town of Albany. Lacourse was eastbound when he lost control of the vehicle while texting on a cellphone. The vehicle veered off the road and overturned. Lacourse reported no injuries. The vehicle was severely damaged and towed. Lacourse also faces charges for texting while driving and driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration. He was released pending court.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Monday, Nov. 26:

• Brodie G. Flannery, 20, Monroe, was cited for driving with a suspended license, non-registration of an auto and driving without vehicle insurance at 12:15 p.m. on County M in the Town of Wiota.

• Paul F. Hoffman, 35, Mineral Point, was cited for speeding at 10:41 a.m. on Wis. 23 in the Town of Gratiot.

• Justin A. Husemann, 20, Dodgeville, was transported from the Iowa County Jail to the Lafayette County Jail at 4:08 p.m. on two valid warrants issued by Lafayette County. He remains jailed.

• Kassandra L. McCarthy, 20, Waunakee, was cited for speeding at 7:14 p.m. on College Farm Road in the Town of Elk Grove.
