Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On May 2:

• An injured animal was reported at 1:16 a.m. to County K in Darlington Township.

• A traffic complaint was reported at 9:28 a.m. on Wis. 11 in Wayne Township.

• Harassment was reported at 10:16 a.m. on County X in Elk Grove Township.

• Illegal dumping was reported at 10:23 a.m. on Old Highway 11 in Wayne Township.

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 11:16 a.m. on County F in Willow Springs Township.

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 1:23 p.m. on Red Rock Road in Darlington Township.

• A traffic complaint was reported at 2:01 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Wayne Township.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 3:03 p.m. on Alma Street in Benton.

• A traffic complaint was reported at 4:31 p.m. on Wis. 81 in Argyle Township.

• A noise complaint was reported at 6:07 p.m. on South Sidney Street in Shullsburg.

• A disabled vehicle was reported at 7:20 p.m. on Wis. 126 in Elk Grove Township.

• Deputies responded at 8:35 p.m. to Railroad Avenue in Benton for a welfare check. Darlington and Belmont Police assisted on scene.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - On April 23:

• Adrienne M. Jurewicz, 42, Mount Horeb, was cited for non-registration of a motor vehicle at 3:35 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 6th Avenue.

• Regina E. Butson, 51, Argyle, was cited for non-registration of a motor vehicle at 4:08 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 6th Avenue.

• Littering was reported at 6:40 p.m. in Village Park around the basketball courts. When police arrived, they cleaned up the trash.

• Wyatt A. Raymond, 28, Blanchardville, was cited for excessive tint of the windows of a motor vehicle at 7:11 p.m. on 6th Avenue and Kubly Road.

On April 24:

• A missing person was reported at 11:47 a.m. in the 900 block of Glarner Drive. The individual was later located.

• Police responded at 12:12 p.m. to the 800 block of 3rd Street for a 911 misdial.

• An abandoned vehicle was reported at 4:10 p.m. in the 500 block of 1st Street. The vehicle was removed.

• Littering was reported at 4:38 p.m. at the 1300 block of 3rd Street.

• Police assisted Belleville Police at 5:16 p.m. While responding the Dane County Sheriff's Department advised that we could disregard.

On April 25:

• Suspicious activity was reported at 5:03 p.m. in a parking lot in the 600 block of Wis. 69. When Police arrived, they met with the individuals who stated they were waiting to meet with another person to sell a car.

• Police unlocked a vehicle at 8:20 p.m. in the 700 block of Railroad Street. Entry was gained and there was no damage to the persons vehicle.

On April 26:

• Police unlocked a vehicle at 10:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of 2nd Street. The vehicle was unlocked without damage.

• Lost property was reported at 11:08 a.m. from a person who lost their keys in the village of New Glarus.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff with an assault report at 12:26 p.m. in the 8400 block of Wis. 39.

• An individual making self-harm statements was reported at 2:56 p.m. on 2nd Street. Green County Human Services was notified.

• Erika L. Doll, 41, Monroe, was cited for illegal window tint on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue.

• A suspicious vehicle was reported at 11:20 p.m. in the parking lot of a closed business in the 1400 block of Wis. 69. Everything was found to be OK.

On April 27:

• Police responded to a welfare check at 9:32 a.m. at New Glarus Elementary School.

• Police were requested to a citizen with a keeping the peace situation due to a restraining order at 10:32 a.m. Police were unable to assist.

• A parking complaint was reported at 10:41 a.m. in the 600 block of Railroad Street.

• An attempted burglary to a business was reported at 2:28 p.m. in the 100 block of 5th Avenue.

• A barking dog was reported at 9:34 p.m. in the 800 block of 1st Street. The area was checked and monitored, and no barking dog was located.

On April 28:

• Police assisted a citizen at 1:59 p.m. by verifying that they disposed of unused prescriptions into the prescription drug drop box.

• A credit card was turned over to police at 4:38 p.m.from a local business that was left behind by its owner.

• Juveniles reportedly throwing rocks at a building were reported at 5:06 p.m. Some windows were possibly damaged. An investigation continues into the incident.

• Ryan B. Whitehead, 27, New Glarus, was cited for no vehicle insurance at 9:31 p.m. on Wis. 69 at Kubly Road.

• Police responded at 10:03 p.m. to the 800 block of Wis. 69 for a 911 hang up call. The original caller was located and everything was found to be OK.

On April 29:

• A traffic complaint was reported at 8:51 p.m. in the area of Industrial Drive and Hoesly Drive. It was reported that during the weekends and during the early morning hours that vehicles are driving at high rates of speed. Descriptions of the offending vehicles were obtained by police.

• Police responded to a 911 call at 9:36 p.m. to Wis. 69 at Cow Path Lane for a motorist traveling from Chicago headed to Baraboo that was lost. The motorist was pointed into the right direction.
