Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - Phillip A. Boyd, 20, Monroe, was arrested in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue at 3:29 p.m. Friday, April 26, on a warrant issued by the Brodhead Municipal Court. He was jailed.

• Gary O. Cerny, 54, Janesville, was cited for speeding in the 600 block of 1st Street at 2:59 p.m. Sunday, April 21.

• Daniel D. Taylor, 56, Oskaloosa, Iowa, was cited for a heavy truck route violation in the 900 block of 15th Street at 11:06 p.m. Sunday, April 21.

• Janet M. Myer, 36, Monroe, was cited Wednesday, April 24, for driving without vehicle insurance, stemming from a traffic stop March 22.

• Dorian B. Stock, 51, Janesville, was cited Wednesday, April 24, for driving with defective brake lights, stemming from a traffic stop March 19.

• Casey R.N. Condon, 25, Brodhead, was cited for driving with a suspended license and for non-registration of a vehicle at 3:36 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at an unspecified location.

• Cristian Viera Valdivia, 27, Brodhead, was cited for driving without a valid license in the 1000 block of East 9th Avenue at 9:59 p.m. Friday, April 26.

• Ashley N. Schultz, 22, Brodhead, was cited for failure to yield right from a stop sign at 7:28 p.m. Saturday, April 27, in the 1500 block of West 3rd Avenue.



Monroe Police

MONROE - Police are beginning investigation into an allegation of check fraud reported at 3 p.m. in the 2000 block of 14th Avenue. The victim and suspects are family members.

• A woman in the 2400 block of 16th Street reported at 4:46 p.m. that she is receiving unwanted text messages from her ex-boyfriend. He wants her to still be his girlfriend. Police warned him to stop.

• A person selling roofing services door-to-door was reported at 6:35 p.m. in the area of 9th Street and 21st Avenue. Police did not locate the person.

• A 17-year-old girl who continually runs away from her home in the 2000 block of 14th Avenue was reported missing again at 10:30 p.m. by her mother.



On Wednesday, May 1:

• Ronny L. Wenger, 17, Monroe, was cited for retail theft after police were called at 11:43 a.m. to Kwik Trip, 1019 9th St. He reportedly shoplifted candy valued at $5.37.

• Jamie A.B. Baxter, 29, Monroe, was cited for a fourth offense of driving with a suspended license after she came to the police station at 12:22 p.m. to register a vehicle.

• A GPS unit was reported stolen out of an unlocked vehicle at 8:56 a.m. in the 1700 block of 17th Street.

• Staff at Monroe High School called police at 9:54 a.m. to report threatening voicemails between two girls arguing over a boy. The matter was referred to the high school to handle.

• An anonymous caller at 10:22 a.m. reported that a resident in the 1400 block of 19th Street leaves a dog in a kennel all day and it barks constantly. Police warned the dog owner.

• Police responded at 4:52 p.m. to a complaint from a resident in the 2500 block of 8th Street that a neighbor doesn't secure a dog and allows it to run around in neighboring yards. The dog owner was warned to keep the animal under control.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Wednesday, May 1:

• A deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle at 10:10 a.m. that had been parked several days just off Wisconsin 81 in Lamont Township. After making contact with the owner, the deputy learned the truck belonged to a person doing field work in the area.

• A dog running at large on Wis. 81 in Argyle Township was reported at 10:30 a.m. Argyle police assisted in responding to the complaint.
