Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - Brett Reuter, 33, Chicago, was arrested on charges of being armed while intoxicated, disorderly conduct and possessing a concealed weapon after police and Lafayette County deputies responded to a report of an intoxicated man with a gun at a hotel on Christianson Drive at 9:15 a.m. Friday, May 17. An employee at the hotel observed that the man was intoxicated and had a handgun sticking out of his waistband. Reuter allegedly does not have a concealed carry permit. He was taken into custody without incident.



Monroe Police

MONROE - Joseph C. Marchese, 43, Delavan, was charged and issued a court summons for allegedly violating a temporary restraining order after police responded to a complaint in the 2600 block of 8th Avenue at 10:09 a.m. Thursday, May 16. He reportedly sent inappropriate texts to his ex-wife.

- Sweet Lilly Jarrett, 19, Cottage Grove, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance and failing to yield right-of-way while making a left turn after police responded to an accident with no injuries at Wisconsin 69 and 21st Street at 8:47 p.m. Thursday, May 16. Jarrett collided with a vehicle driven by Matthias P. Eiserman, 26, Monroe.

On Wednesday, May 15:

- Two people and a dog were warned to move after police found them afterhours at 12:11 a.m. in Twining Park.

- The person responsible for a residential property in the 600 block of Sunrise Court was warned to mow the lawn after police responded at 8:32 a.m. to a complaint about unmowed grass.

- A gas drive-off was reported 12:52 p.m. at the Monroe Northsider Mobil, 180 N. 18th Ave.

- The theft of a Wisconsin license plate off a vehicle in the 200 block of 4th Avenue was reported at 3:31 p.m.

- A 13-year-old boy was referred for charges in Green County Juvenile Intake after police responded a report at 4:11 p.m. that he was out-of-control at a residence in the 1600 block of 13th Avenue.

- A dog owner was warned for allowing the animal to run at large after police responded to a complaint at 7:48 p.m. that a brown pitbull chased a person walking on the sidewalk in the area of 19th Avenue and 10th Street.

On Thursday, May 16:

- Police were called at 12:06 a.m. to a report that two vehicles parked in a residential driveway in the 2200 block of 16th Street had their windows smashed out.

- The theft of a Kentucky license plate off a vehicle in the 600 block of 8th Avenue was reported at 10:32 a.m.

- At 12:54 p.m., a resident in the 1800 block of 12th Avenue reported being the victim of fraud. An out-of-state trucking company allegedly defrauded the resident out of money in a deal over recycling scrap stainless steel.

- A resident on 8th Avenue came into the police station at 1:26 p.m. to report being threatened by another woman to stop "using my name around other people." The complaint was related to gossiping, and no one was cited or arrested.

- A man in the 2000 block of Edgeview Drive reported at 6 p.m. he had a domestic dispute with his adult son. Police were unable to determine which man was the aggressor in the dispute. No one was cited or arrested.

- At 8:18 p.m., a person walking in the 1100 block of 23rd Avenue reported seeing another person shovel what appeared to be ashes into a storm sewer grate. Police located the offender and warned the person not to put anything into the drains.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Thursday, May 16:

- A deputy responded to a residence on Van Buren Street in Benton at 12:02 a.m. for a complaint of a guest at the residence who was no longer welcome there.

- Dogs running at large on McKnight Street in South Wayne were reported at 6:30 a.m.

- Animals causing damage at a location on Wilkinson Road in Benton Township was reported at 4:35 p.m.

- A deputy assisted Platteville police at 8:30 p.m. by checking for a missing adult in the area surrounding Belmont Mound State Park. The person was not located.

- A deputy responded to Yellowstone Lake State Park at 11:44 p.m. for a noise complaint.
