GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - No one was injured in a one-vehicle crash around 8 a.m. Thursday on Greenbush Road, three-tenths of a mile east of Juniper Drive in Sylvester township. Deputies' investigation revealed that Curtis J. Jones, 61, Brodhead, was traveling west on Greenbush Road when his vehicle struck a computer monitor lying in the roadway. The vehicle received moderate front-end and undercarriage damage, and was driven from the scene. Deputies later found the electronic and computer equipment had been discarded in the area of Greenbush and Round Grove roads.

DARLINGTON - Two people were injured in a one-vehicle rollover accident around 6:30 p.m. Thursday on County W in Diggings township. Timothy S. Huenefeld, 35, Freeport, Ill., was eastbound when he lost control after the car dropped onto the shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle traveled into the ditch and overturned, coming to rest on a fence. Huenefeld and his passenger, Kenneth H. Burmeister, 65, Shullsburg received minor injuries and were treated at the scene. Huenefeld was arrested for operating while intoxicated and operating after revocation. He was later released.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident around 1:45 p.m. Thursday on English Hollow Road in Fayette township. Delbert E. Steiner, 69, Darlington, was performing a backing maneuver in the road and struck a vehicle driven by John E. Dunlavy, 39, Blanchardville, who had driven up behind him and stopped in the roadway. Both vehicles received moderate damage and were driven from the scene.
