Monroe Police

MONROE - Adam D. Bliss, 26, South Wayne, was arrested for several outstanding warrants issued by the Monroe Police Department and Green County Sheriff's Department around 4:15 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of Eighth Avenue. Bliss was confined to jail.

• Kevin J. Mansfield, 18, Juda, was arrested for retail theft around 8:15 p.m. Thursday in the 400 block of West Eighth Street. Mansfield was released pending court.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Dennis S. Bates, 46, rural Argyle, was arrested for bail jumping, following an investigation requested by the Lafayette County Sheriff's Department about 10:30 p.m. Thursday to check on the welfare of a subject residing on Apple Grove Road in Adams township. It was reported that the subject continued to unnecessarily call the Lafayette County Sheriff's Department to order a pizza. Bates was jailed in the Green County Jail.

• Michael A. Jorgenson, 47, Monroe, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia, after deputies were called to investigate a report of a suspicious person seen naked in a field behind Pleasant View Complex off Wisconsin 81 around 2:30 p.m. Thursday. The case remains under investigation.

• Steve W. Brunkow, 56, Monroe, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked driver's license, third offense operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and on an arrest warrant issued through Dane County Sheriff's Department. Julie, A. Peterson, 46, Monroe, a passenger in the vehicle, was arrested for outstanding arrest warrants though the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Janesville Police Department. Peterson was also arrested for obstructing an officer when she provided false identification information to deputies to avoid arrest. The arrests came after investigation of a possible theft of a metal convection oven and a men's ring from a property located on Fairfield Road in Jefferson township reported about 11:15 a.m. Thursday. The suspects were identified and believed to be en route to a salvage yard on Clarno Road. Both Brunkow and Peterson were jailed in the Green County Jail. Charges of theft are pending in the matter. The Monroe Police Department assisted in the incident.

• Ethan J. Parkin, 19, Monroe, was arrested for an outstanding warrant through the Dane County Sheriff's Department for a criminal traffic charge of hit and run about 8 a.m. Thursday. Parkin was jailed at the Green County Jail pending transfer to Dane County.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Matthew T. Myers, 25, Cuba City, was cited for speeding about 7 p.m. Thursday on County O on Seymour township.

• Dustin W. Pontnack, 22, Lena, was cited for speeding around 7:30 p.m. Thursday on Wisconsin 81 in Seymour township.

• Israel Valencia, 22, Darlington, was arrested around 8:15 p.m. Thursday for operating while intoxicated, operating with no valid driver's license and open intoxicants in a vehicle after a traffic complaint was received about an erratic driver on Wis. 81 in Darlington township.
