DARLINGTON - On Tuesday, June 25:
A deputy kept the peace during a civil dispute at 1:30 p.m. on Walnut Road in Wiota Township.
A juvenile runaway from Bridge Street in Gratiot was reported at 8:55 p.m. The juvenile was located a short time later by the Iowa County Sheriff's Department and released to the parents.
Monroe
MONROE - An officer on patrol saw two girls, ages 13 and 17, out walking in the 300 block of 10th Avenue at 11:53 p.m. Monday, June 24. Due to the bad weather, the officer gave the girls a ride home. The 13-year-old was warned for being out past curfew.
On Tuesday, June 25:
Kyle W. Strauch, 42, Monroe, was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued by the Albany Police Department for failure to pay a fine, during a traffic stop at 5:52 a.m. in the 1400 block of 14th Street.
Jaron D. Neuenschwander Luebke, 20, Monroe, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, knowingly violating a domestic abuse order and misdemeanor bail jumping after officers responded at 9:39 a.m. to a report of a domestic abuse situation at a residence in the 1300 block of 16th Street. He was jailed. The next day in Green County Circuit Court, he pleaded not guilty to all charges and his signature bond was set at $1,000. He has a pre-trial conference Aug. 6.
Richard Allen White, 51, Dubuque, was arrested on a charge of retail theft after officers were called at 3:25 p.m. to Walmart, 300 6th Ave. W. White reportedly shoplifted a comforter and a car stereo, together valued at $121. The next day in Green County Circuit Court, he pleaded not guilty and his signature bond was set at $1,000, to be cosigned by his daughter. He has a pre-trial conference Aug. 6.
Two teens were arrested after police stopped a vehicle at 7:46 p.m. near East School Park, 2200 10th St. A K-9 unit was called in for a drug sniff. As a result, a 16-year-old Monroe boy is being referred to the District Attorney for charges of possessing marijuana with intent to deliver and possessing drug paraphernalia. Another passenger, a 15-year-old Monroe girl, is being referred for charges of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
An officer going through the parking ramp downtown at 12:22 a.m. noticed and took note of chalk graffiti.
A stray kitten was found in the 2100 block of 18th Avenue at 8:04 a.m. and was turned over to the Green County Humane Society.
A woman reported at 9:19 a.m. that her Samsung Galaxy S3 cellphone was stolen the night before while she was at Old Smokey's, 1301 17th St. She left it sitting on the bar.
A resident at a trailer park in the 500 block of West 21st Street reported at 2:03 p.m. that two neighbors are both keeping too many cats. Only three cats per home are allowed within the city. One neighbor was not at home, but police warned the other neighbor.
A gas drive-off was reported at 2:07 p.m. at Kwik Trip, 1019 9th St.
An unlocked, unregistered bicycle was reported stolen at 6:51 p.m. from the rack near the pool in Recreation Park.
A stray brown-and-white female dog was found in the 2000 block of 8th Street at 8:46 p.m. and will be turned over to the Green County Humane Society.
A citation is pending against a 22-year-old man for doing burnouts and doughnuts in the area of 8th Avenue and 19th Street, after police responded at 10:40 p.m. to a traffic complaint. The vehicle was gone from the immediate area when police arrived, but marks were left on the pavement and smoke was still hanging in the air. The offender and his vehicle were located nearby.
