Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - Sara Aide, 52, Darlington, was arrested at about 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, following a traffic stop on Galena Street, on a warrant issued by Iowa County. She posted bond and was released.

- Aaron G. Springer, 43, Darlington, was cited at about 1:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, following a traffic stop on Louisa Street, for driving with a suspended license and failing to register or insure his vehicle. He was released pending court.

Monroe Police

MONROE - A 16-year-old boy was arrested on a charge of battery at 7:41 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, after police responded to a disturbance in the 2500 block of 14th Avenue. He was released to a parent.

- Daniel Alvarez Vargas, 32, Monroe, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and battery under domestic abuse laws at 5:54 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, in the 1000 block of 9th Street. He was jailed.

- A gas station in the 1000 block of 9th Street reported two gas drive-offs of $20 and $38.16 at 1:17 p.m. and 1:50 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16. The incidents are under investigation.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Michael D. Wilson, 37, Hanover, Ill., was arrested at 3:03 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, on charges of driving while intoxicated, second offense, and possessing and intentionally abusing a hazardous substance. Deputies found Wilson in a vehicle on Wisconsin 11 near Brodhead Airport Road in the Town of Decatur. He had allegedly been huffing alcohol-based accelerants from an aerosol spray can.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Emily J. Fox, 21, Darlington, was cited for failing to keep a vehicle under control after deputies responded at 4:08 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, to an accident on County F in the Town of Fayette. Fox was traveling northbound when she veered off the road, hit a utility pole and then several trees. She was transported by Blanchardville Ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. Blanchardville Fire also responded to the scene. The vehicle Fox was driving was severely damaged and towed from the scene.

- Brandon R. Wilwert, 30, Shullsburg, was arrested on West Catherine Street in Darlington at 2:20 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, on a warrant issued by Grant County. He posted bond and was released.
