Monroe Police

MONROE - Norman J. Wells, 48, Monroe, was arrested at 6:51 p.m. Friday for a probation violation in the 1400 block of 17th Street. Wells was jailed pending court.

• Ronald J. Lestarge Jr., 41, Monroe, was arrested at 2:29 a.m. Sunday for driving while intoxicated, first offense, in the 2000 block of 16th Street. Lestarge was also cited for unreasonable speed and released pending court.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• Deputies responded to a disorderly conduct complaint at 1:23 a.m. on Woodberry Road, Willow Springs Township.

• Edwin Phend, 53, Shullsburg, was arrested at 5:39 a.m. for disorderly conduct after deputies responded to a complaint on West Estey Street, Shullsburg. Phend was jailed pending court.

On Sunday:

• Wayne Stollenwerk, 43, Brookfield, was cited at 1:27 a.m. for driving under the influence on County W, Gratiot Township.

• Deputies checked the welfare of an individual on East Liberty Street, Village of Belmont, at 9:44 p.m.



Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - Police are investigating a theft of four ATVs from Mike's Engine Works that occurred on Sunday at about 8:15 a.m. The ATVs were believed to be stolen after 8 p.m. Saturday. One of the ATVs was recovered two blocks away near a campground. The three remaining ATVs remain missing and are described as a black and orange colored 2014 Polaris RZR, a camouflage 2007 Polaris Sportsman 800 and a silver 2005 Kawazaki Brute Force 750 with red paint on the left fender. The Darlington Police Department is seeking information about the ATVs' whereabouts and can be contacted at 608-776-4980. Mike's Engine Works is also offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the return of the ATVs.
