Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - Edward R. McLain, 48, Albany, was arrested on a fourth offense charge of driving while intoxicated at 6:38 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, in the 100 block of East 9th Avenue. He was also cited for operating left of center. He was jailed.



Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - John E. Bickett, 35, Darlington, was arrested on Main Street at about 11:25 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29, on an arrest warrant issued by Lafayette County. He posted bond and was released.

• Ronald J. Schwartz, 42, Mineral Point, was cited for violating bar-closing hours following an investigation at Legends Pub, 347 Main St., at about 5:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30. Schwartz is an employee at Legends.

• Rodrigo Perez-Ramirez, 50, Darlington, was arrested on Main Street at about 10:40 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, on a warrant issued by Lafayette County. He posted bond and was released.

• Julio Hernandez-Miranda, 21, Shullsburg, was cited for unsafe backing and driving without a license or vehicle insurance at 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, following a traffic stop on County K.

• Francisco J. Mora-Gomez, 27, Belmont, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated at 8:44 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, following a traffic stop on Galena St. He was also cited for driving with a suspended license and no vehicle insurance.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - A gas drive-off was reported at 12:17 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, from a gas station in the 1400 block of Wis. 69.

• Jesse W. Bodenmann, 20, New Glarus, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance at 8:34 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue.

• Littering was reported in the 500 block of 1st Street at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27. Someone had dumped personal trash into a business Dumpster.

• Police responded to a civil dispute over removal of property in the 400 block of 6th Avenue at 11:44 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29.

• A residential burglary was reported in the 400 block of 6th Avenue at 12:04 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29. The incident remains under investigation.

• A report of stolen cash at 12:18 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, led to an investigation showing a residence in the village was burglarized twice. The case remains under investigation.

• Tom E. Brantmeier, 62, Monroe, was cited for an expired vehicle registration and driving without vehicle insurance at 3:18 p.m. Satursday, Nov. 30, near 6th Avenue at Railroad Street.

• Dylan J. Palmer, 21, Belleville, was cited for driving with a revoked license (revocation due to a DWI-related conviction), driving without vehicle insurance, failure to install his court-ordered ignition interlock device and having no muffler at 6:13 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, on Wis. 69 near 11th Avenue.

• Unlawful dumping was reported at 10:31 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, at a business in the downtown area. A suspect or suspects had filled a garbage and recycling Dumpster. Anyone who has seen someone place personal garbage in Dumpsters around the business district is encourage to contact the police department at 608-527-2145.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - The death of a 58-year-old man was reported at 9:35 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, in the N9600 block of Hay Hollow Road in York Township. There was no known cause of death or evident signs of foul play.

• The death of a 52-year-old woman was reported at 1:57 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, in the N5800 block of Fiedler Road in Mount Pleasant Township. She died of apparent natural causes. Officers assisted her family at the scene.

• Alex J. Meives, 28, Browntown, was arrested on a charge of bail jumping after deputies, Green County EMS and the Browntown and South Wayne Fire Departments responded to a report of a smoking mattress at Meives' residence in the 300 block of Church Street. The mattress on his bed caught fire when a soldering iron was left on it. Deputies found that Meives was intoxicated, in violation of a bond condition that he not drink. He was treated at an area hospital, then jailed pending court. The case was referred to the Green County District Attorney for possible charges of negligence.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Friday, Nov. 29:

• A theft from a business on South Mound Avenue in Belmont was reported at 11:18 a.m.

• Disorderly conduct was reported on North Warren Street in South Wayne at 12:40 p.m.

• Lewd and lascivious behavior was reported in the area of Esty Street in Shullsburg at 3:56 p.m.

• Paul A. Nauer, 57, Beloit, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance at 4:45 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg Township.

• A large fire was reported at 5:18 p.m. in the area of Wis. 78 in Wiota Township. A responding deputy determined it was a controlled burn.

• Joshua A. Fagmann, 23, Rowley, Iowa, was cited for speeding at 5:34 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Gratiot Township.

• Aaron R. Hicks, 20, Darlington, was cited for speeding at 5:40 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg Township.

• Kimberly A. Lamar, 35, DeWitt, Iowa, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 5:46 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Gratiot Township.

• A reckless driver was reported at 5:48 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Gratiot Township. A responding deputy was unable to locate the vehicle.

• Rachel L. Miller, 27, Benton, was cited for not wearing a seatbelt at 6:55 p.m. on Wis. 11 in New Diggings Township.

• Joseph M. Tagarelli, 20, Bayside, was cited for speeding at 10:40 p.m. on U.S. 151 in Belmont Township.

On Saturday, Nov. 30:

• Quinn C. Snyder, 19, Appleton, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at 12:02 a.m. on Buncombe Road in Benton Township.

• Trespassing was reported at 11:20 a.m. on County F in Seymour Township.

• Thomas C. Ruhs, 25, Madison, was cited for speeding at 1 p.m. on U.S. 151 in Belmont Township.

• Deena L. McLimans-Lyght, 50, Mineral Point, was cited for speeding at 1:21 p.m. on U.S. 151 in Belmont Township.

• Yousef Khalid Y. Aldrahim, 31, Platteville, was cited for speeding and driving without a license at 1:56 p.m. on U.S. 151 in Belmont Township.

• Brianna L. Theobald, 21, Oshkosh, was cited for speeding at 2:02 p.m. on U.S. 151 in Belmont Township.

• Shawn F. Becker, 20, Dodgeville, was cited for speeding at 2:05 p.m. on U.S. 151 in Belmont Township.

• Darlene A. Bera-Gitter, 59, Grafton, was cited for speeding at 2:29 p.m. on U.S. 151 in Belmont Township.

• Christopher A. Lenzendorf, 42, Madison, was cited for speeding at 3:04 p.m. on U.S. 151 in Belmont Township.

On Sunday, Dec. 1:

• A deputy responded at 8:49 a.m. to a residence on South Mound Avenue in Belmont to assist a person who had fallen.

• A 911 hangup at 8:57 a.m. was traced to South Mound Avenue in Belmont. Everything at the residence was found to be OK.

• A deputy responded at 10:17 a.m. to a report of a dog that had been shot on Water Street in Benton. The incident remains under investigation.

• Disorderly conduct was reported at 10:47 a.m. on County W in New Diggings Township.

• A theft of fishing poles, stolen overnight from a vehicle on South Judgement Street in Shullsburg, was reported at 11:51 a.m. Shullsburg police are following up.

• Jose E. Guevara, Jr., 47, Bloomingdale, Ill., was cited for speeding at 3:21 p.m. on Wis. 23 in Darlington Township.

• A strong odor of natural gas was reported at 5:15 p.m. on County A in Shullsburg Township. We Energies responded to the scene.

• Ashley A. Immerzeel, 26, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was cited for speeding at 8:40 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg Township.

On Monday, Dec. 2:

• A deputy responded at 4:05 a.m. to a report of a suspicious person on West Milwaukee Street in Argyle. The deputy discovered that the vehicle the man was sitting in was disabled. The deputy gave him a ride to Darlington.

• Denis J. Disher, 55, Janesville, was cited for speeding at 8:13 a.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg Township.

• A deputy investigated a truancy complaint at 11:05 a.m. at a residence on Mink Farm Road in Wayne Township.

• Trespassing was reported at 1:40 p.m. on Jefferson Road in Benton Township.

• A man and his 3-year-old grandson were reported missing at 6:45 p.m. after the man failed to pick up a female at a work site in Monroe as scheduled. The man was located at his Argyle residence a short time later and reported that his car had become disabled. Both the driver and child were OK.
