BRODHEAD POLICE

BRODHEAD - For the week of Dec. 20 to Dec. 26, there were 128 calls for service, 23 citizen assists, 17 security checks, 11 traffic stops, eight registrations, eight 911 calls, five EMS calls, four fire calls and four assists of other agencies.

On Dec. 21:

• A 46-year-old Brodhead man was arrested at 5:18 a.m. in the 1200 block of 1st Center Avenue on a Rock County warrant. A 43-year-old Brodhead woman was cited as well for obstructing an officer.

• Police issued a warning at 3:08 p.m. to a person parked in a no-parking zone in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue.

On Dec. 22, a dog at large was reported at 2:54 p.m. in the 900 block of West Exchange Street. The animal's owner was issued a warning.

On Wednesday, a 21-year-old Argyle man was cited at 5:49 p.m. in the 1200 block of 15th Street after a report of a theft.

On Thursday:

• A person carrying open intoxicants was reported at 7:38 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police were unable to find the person.

• A 43-year-old Brodhead man was cited at 6:53 p.m. in the 1700 block of 1st Center Avenue for violating the heavy truck route ordinance.

On Friday, a 43-year-old Brodhead man was cited at 9:27 p.m. in the 1700 block of 1st Center Avenue for violating the heavy truck route ordinance.

On Saturday:

• A theft was reported at 9:38 a.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police are seeking a suspect to question.

• An animal at large was reported at 10:35 a.m. in the 700 block of 5th Street. The owner was issued a warning.

• Damage to a vehicle was reported at 10:49 a.m. in the 500 block of 10th Street. Police are seeking a suspect to question.

• A gas drive-off was reported at 1:56 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. The incident was found to have been accidental.

• A 43-year-old Brodhead man was cited at 9:14 p.m. in the 1700 block of 1st Center Avenue for violating the heavy truck route ordinance and for a 48-hour parking violation.

• A 25-year-old Monroe man was arrested in the 2300 block of 1st Center on a Brodhead Municipal Court warrant.

• Police issued 10 parking citations throughout the week for winter parking ordinance violations.



DARLINGTON POLICE

DARLINGTON - Larry L. Crawford, 57, Darlington, was arrested at 11:34 p.m. Friday on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and on a probation hold after a complaint on Washington Street.



MONROE POLICE

MONROE - On Thursday, Arnold L. Hansen, 42, Brodhead, was arrested at 9:47 a.m. in the 100 block of West 8th Street for several outstanding warrants from Green and Sauk County sheriff's departments. Hansen was jailed.

On Friday, Tamara L. Swanson, 43, Orangeville, was arrested at 7:03 p.m. in the 1800 block of 12th Street on a Monroe Police warrant for issuing worthless checks. Swanson was jailed.

On Saturday, Thomas E. Bolotnik, 26, Waukegan, Ill., was arrested at 2:41 a.m. for driving while intoxicated in the 600 block of Wisconsin 69. Bolotnik was also cited for driving with a prohibited alcohol concentration and non-registration of a vehicle. Bolotnik was released pending court.



NEW GLARUS POLICE

NEW GLARUS - On Dec. 21:

• Joshua T. Kingston, 27, New Glarus, was arrested at 12:07 a.m. for making threatening phone calls as part of a Janesville Police investigation.

• Brian S. Vrandenburd, 50, New Glarus, was cited at 3:39 p.m. for driving with a suspended license and non-registration of a vehicle after being stopped for a registration violation at the intersection of 14th Avenue and 3rd Street.

• A fire alarm was triggered at 7:13 p.m. in the 600 block of 2nd Street. It was found that the alarm had only activated a low battery warning.

On Dec. 22:

• A 911 hang-up occurred at 10:52 a.m. in the 1800 block of 2nd Street. The call was found to have been a misdial.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff at 12 p.m. with an investigation.

• Police helped unlock a vehicle at 6:34 p.m. in the 1000 block of 8th Street.

On Wednesday:

• Sharon M. Frills, 29, New Glarus, was cited at 8 a.m. for driving with an expired vehicle registration and displaying an unauthorized registration in the 1400 block of 2nd Street.

• A theft was reported at 8:44 a.m. in the 400 block of 5th Avenue. The victim later reported that the item that was believed to have been stolen had been found.

• Dustin A. Stelter, 26, New Glarus, was cited at 10:42 a.m. for a seatbelt violation in the 1100 block of Wis. 69.

• A hearing aid was reported lost at 11:13 a.m. between the 1400 and 1800 blocks of 2nd Street. Anyone who has found a hearing aid is encouraged to contact the New Glarus Police at 527-2145.

• Two missing juveniles were reported at 1:24 p.m., but were discovered while the report was made.

• A parking complaint was made at 2:50 p.m. near the intersection of 2nd Street and 2nd Avenue.

• Heather N. Wing, 25, Monticello, was cited at 3:29 p.m. for a seatbelt violation in the 1100 block of Wis. 69.

• A lost dog was reported found at 8:34 p.m. north of New Glarus in Dane County. The caller was directed to Dane County Dispatch.

• Police removed a traffic obstruction at 9:44 p.m. after multiple Christmas trees had blown into the road in the 10 block of 6th Avenue.

On Thursday:

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff at 12:08 a.m. with an out-of-control juvenile in the W4000 block of County W.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff at 9:23 a.m. with a traffic obstruction on Wis. 69.

• Tyler P. Perkins, 16, Belleville, was cited at 10:17 a.m. for driving without proof of vehicle insurance after being stopped for speeding on 3rd Avenue.

• Kelsey A. Wuethrich, 25, Monroe, was arrested at 11:40 p.m. for bail jumping and an additional outstanding warrant after being stopped on Wis. 69 for a registration violation. Wuethrich was also cited for driving with a suspended license.

• Joseph P. Herzog, 51, Delafield, was cited at 6:42 p.m. for speeding in the 1100 block of Wis. 69.

On Friday:

• A domestic disturbance was reported at 3:31 p.m. in the 900 block of 1st Street. Those involved were separated for the night.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff at 7:33 p.m. with a report of loose cows at the intersection of Zenter Road and Wis. 39. The animals were found and returned to their owner.

• Nicole M. Buckett, 45, Baraboo, was cited at 9:08 p.m. for driving with a suspended license and speeding in the 600 block of Wis. 69.

• Brandon M. Mellon, 19, Fitchburg, was cited at 10:15 p.m. for speeding in the 1100 block of Wis. 69.

On Saturday:

• Clark J. Mislivecek, 20, Blanchardville, was cited at 8:41 p.m. for driving with a suspended license at the intersection of 6th Avenue and Wis. 69.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 9:10 p.m. in the 100 block of Valle Tell Drive. Everything was found to be fine.

• Sophie E. Perry, 28, Springfield, Mo., was cited at 11:39 p.m. for driving without vehicle insurance at the intersection of Wis. 69 and 4th Avenue.

On Sunday:

• Police removed a traffic obstruction at 12:25 a.m. after a small electric heater was found in the middle of the street at the intersection of 6th Avenue and 4th Street.

• Police checked the welfare of a New Glarus resident at 9:38 a.m. per a request from Monroe Police.

• Tanner M. Blumer, 19, Monroe, was cited at 12:25 p.m. for driving without vehicle insurance after being stopped at the intersection of Wis. 69 and 11th Avenue for an equipment violation.



GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - On Thursday, Kyle B. Steiner, 25, Brodhead, was cited at 9:12 p.m. for possession of THC and drug paraphernalia after deputies responded to a residence in the 1000 block of 19th Street in Brodhead to issue another unrelated citation.

On Saturday, Jacqueline C. Lynch, 21, Brooklyn, was arrested at 4:05 p.m. for domestic disorderly conduct after deputies responded to a domestic dispute in the W900 block of Yarwood Road, Town of Brooklyn. Deputies also cited Leon E. Bridges, 26, Brooklyn, for possession of drug paraphernalia.



LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - On Wednesday:

• Tyler L. Kirschbaum, 23, Fennimore, was cited at 12:29 a.m. for driving with a suspended license on Summit Road, Town of Shullsburg.

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 4:08 a.m. on West Estey Street in Shullsburg.

• A deputy provided traffic control at 11:14 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg.

• A speeding vehicle was reported at 12:20 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg.

• Kimberly S. Tetzlaff, 37, Platteville, was transported at 1:38 p.m. to the Lafayette County Jail on a valid warrant. Tetzlaff was later released on bond.

• An injured animal in the roadway was reported at 3:26 p.m. on Shawnee Road, Town of New Diggings.

• A 911 hang-up occurred at 5:32 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg.

On Thursday:

• A deputy helped unlock a vehicle at 8:49 a.m. on County I, Town of New Diggings.

• A deputy helped unlock a vehicle at 11:59 a.m. on County D, Town of Wiota.

• A deputy assisted the Darlington Police at 12:30 p.m. on Washington Street in Darlington.

• A traffic complaint was made at 3:15 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour.

• A 911 hang-up occurred at 3:49 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg.

• A threat of injury was reported at 5:04 p.m. on Tollakson Road, Town of Wayne.

• A 911 hang-up occurred at 5:55 p.m. on Faymont Road, Town of Lamont.

• Robert F. Gundry, 62, Shullsburg, was arrested at 10:46 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg, for possession of drug paraphernalia. Gundry was jailed.
