Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - Johnathon Rindy, 25, Darlington, was arrested on Main Street at about 12:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, on a probation and parole warrant. He was jailed.

Monroe Police

MONROE - A business downtown complained at 11:47 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, about a vehicle parked out front playing loud music. The vehicle was gone by the time police arrived.

On Wednesday, Aug. 28:

• Michael R. Fricks, 24, Monroe, was arrested on a warrant after he called police at 12:39 p.m. for a road rage complaint of a vehicle following him in the 2100 block of 18th Avenue. While investigating the complaint, police discovered Fricks had a warrant out for his arrest, issued by the Lafayette County Sheriff's Department. He posted the required bond and was released.

• Staff at a preschool in the 1000 block of 15th Avenue reported at 8:11 a.m. that a parent caused a disturbance outside the preschool while dropping off a child. No one was cited or arrested.

• A pair of sunglasses and some keys were found in the 1600 block of 13th Avenue and brought at 8:56 a.m. to the police station, where they may be identified and claimed.

• Weeds and garbage were reported at 11:34 a.m. outside a residence in the 400 block of 11th Avenue. The owners were warned.

• A shoplifter was reported at 11:43 a.m. at Bargains Galore, 127 6th St. The offender was identified but had left by the time police arrived. No one was cited.

• Police were called at 6:28 p.m. to the 500 block of West 21st Street for a marital dispute. The husband had let his estranged wife stay at his trailer home and said she and her new boyfriend wrote on the walls and left behind some stuff and a dog. Police advised him this is a civil matter, not criminal, and to talk with his attorney.

• Kids sitting in the street at 12th Street and 19th Avenue were reported at 8:57 p.m. The kids, all young teens, were warned to move.

• Police were called at 10:11 p.m. after a brother, 8, and sister, 6, went to a neighbor's home in the 2000 block of Edgeview Drive because their parents were arguing. Police determined the parents were just arguing, and no one was cited or arrested.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Wednesday, Aug. 28:

• Ellie Mae Erdmann, 43, rural Argyle, was arrested on a third-offense charge of driving while intoxicated after deputies stopped a vehicle at 2:18 a.m. for operating left of center in the W6300 block of Wisconsin 39 in New Glarus Township. She was also arrested on a charge of misdemeanor bail jumping and cited for driving with a revoked license and operating left of center. She was jailed pending court or bond.

• Three people were jailed or cited after police responded at 1:08 p.m. to a report of a vehicle in a ditch in Albany Township. The driver, Deborah J. Newcomb, 30, Albany, was eastbound in the W2200 block of County EE when she lost control, veered off the highway and collided with a ditch. Newcomb and her passenger, Frederick R. D. Veeder, 38, Albany, walked away from the scene. The vehicle was severely damaged and towed. No injuries were reported. Newcomb was arrested and jailed on a warrant issued by the Beloit Police Department and cited for driving with a revoked license and without vehicle insurance. Veeder was cited for obstructing and released pending court. While investigating the crash, deputies located several people standing by a vehicle nearby in the N6600 block of County X in Albany Township. One of the people, Allen Michael Carstensen, 22, Albany, had warrants for his arrest - one issued by Green County for unpaid child support and another issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. He was jailed.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Wednesday, Aug. 28:

• A deputy, Argyle Ambulance and the Argyle Fire Department responded at 3:11 a.m. to a one-vehicle accident on Wis. 81 in Argyle Township. Upon arrival, the vehicle had left the scene. The incident remains under investigation.

• Harassment was reported at 1:57 p.m. at a residence on Wis. 11 in New Diggings Township.
