BRODHEAD POLICE

BRODHEAD - For the week of Aug. 7-13, there were 34 citizen assists, 23 calls for service, 22 security checks, 10 vehicle registrations, nine 911 calls, seven traffic stops, six EMS calls and five assists of other agencies.

On Aug. 7:

• A gas drive-off was reported at 2:09 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. The offender returned to pay for the gas.

• Juveniles operating lawn mowers in the roadway were reported at 7:44 p.m. in the 600 block of 10th Street.

On Aug. 8:

• A 28-year-old Brodhead man was arrested at 4:44 a.m. on a Department of Corrections warrant in the 1900 block of 1st Center Avenue. He was also cited for driving with a suspended license.

• A fraudulent IRS call was reported at 12:38 p.m. in the 1000 block of West Exchange Street.

• Juveniles riding bicycles on the sidewalk were reported at 12:45 p.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue.

• A 49-year-old Brodhead man was cited at 5:35 p.m. for disorderly conduct in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Wednesday:

• A parking complaint was made at 2:40 p.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue.

• Harassing phone calls were reported at 7:37 p.m. in the 700 block of 17th Street. The investigation is ongoing.

On Thursday:

• A suspicious person was reported at 2:01 a.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue.

• An impaired person in the roadway was reported at 2:43 a.m. near the intersection of 17th Street and 1st Center Avenue. The person was not located.

• Damage to property was reported at 12:13 p.m. in the 1200 block of 25th Street.

• A gas drive-off was reported at 3:27 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue.

• A 21-year-old Thorp woman was cited at 4:16 p.m. for speeding in the 1900 block of East 7th Avenue.

On Friday:

• A 24-year-old Kenosha man was cited at 6:35 p.m. for speeding and driving without proof of vehicle insurance in the 100 block of East 2nd Avenue.

• A 28-year-old Hartland man was cited at 7:27 p.m. for driving with a suspended license, driving without vehicle insurance and speeding in the 100 block of East 9th Avenue.

• A 26-year-old man was cited at 9:01 p.m. for speeding in the 100 block of East 3rd Avenue.

• A 19-year-old man, an 18-year old woman, and two 17-year-old boys, all from Fort Atkinson, were arrested at 10:06 p.m. for trespassing in the 400 block of 10th Street. One of the 17-year-olds was also held on felony bail jumping charges.

On Saturday:

• Police issued a warning at 3:06 p.m. to an improperly parked vehicle in the 2200 block of 1st Center Avenue.

• A 27-year-old Chicago man was cited at 6:27 p.m. in the 400 block of 1st Center Avenue.

• A 52-year-old Sullivan, Missori, man was cited at 8:04 p.m. for speeding and a seatbelt violation in the 100 block of East 9th Avenue.

• A 42-year-old Fort Atkinson man was cited at 9:32 p.m. for speeding in the 100 block of East 3rd Avenue.



MONROE POLICE

MONROE - On Friday, Austin D. Flood, 20, Monroe, was arrested at 7:02 p.m. for retail theft and bail jumping in the 200 block of 8th Street. Flood was jailed.

On Saturday, Paul E. Hughes, 34, Hollandale, was arrested at 8:15 p.m. for a probation violation in the 1500 block of 16th Avenue. Hughes was jailed.

On Sunday, Daniel F. Kramer, 31, Monroe, was arrested at 5:40 p.m. for driving while intoxicated and with open intoxicants in the 900 block of 13th Avenue.



NEW GLARUS POLICE

NEW GLARUS - On Aug. 8:

• Two children's bikes were found at 9:25 a.m. in the 400 block of 4th Avenue.

• A sign was reported stolen at 10 a.m. on Kubly Road. The sign read "NG Townline." Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the New Glarus Police at 527-2145.

• Debris on the roadway was reported at 4:30 p.m. on Wis. 69. No debris could be found.

• Michael J. Gould, 40, Mineral Point, was cited at 5:13 p.m. for a seatbelt violation and driving without vehicle insurance.

• Police cited an improperly parked vehicle at 5:31 p.m.

• Nancy G. Johnson, 62, Blanchardville, was cited at 6:44 p.m. for driving without vehicle insurance on County W.

• Police helped a citizen recover lost property at 8:12 p.m.

On Wednesday:

• Suspicious people were reported at 2:11 a.m. at the middle school. The people were found to be teachers retrieving items before leaving on vacation.

• A suspicious person was reported at 8:52 a.m. in the 1200 block of Railroad Street.

• A lost cell phone case was reported at 3:14 p.m. in the 400 block of Railroad Street.

• Drugs and drug paraphernalia were found at 4:53 p.m. on a sidewalk in the 500 block of 2nd Street. Police confiscated the items. Anybody with information on the items is encouraged to contact the New Glarus Police.

• Police took possession of a feral cat at 6:50 p.m. after the animal was captured in the village.

On Thursday:

• Dylan M. Kaioula, 19, Madison, was cited at 11:35 a.m. for a seatbelt violation, driving without vehicle insurance and driving without an instructor present.

• A parking complaint was made at 1:39 p.m. in the 500 block of 1st Street.

• An officer spoke with a citizen about parking violations at 8:20 p.m. in the 600 block of Railroad Street.

• An officer assisted a driver with truck parking at 10:39 p.m. in the 100 block of Hoesly Drive.

• An officer warned several people at 10:47 p.m. about being in the park after hours.

On Friday:

• A damaged road sign was reported at 8:20 a.m. near the intersection of County H and 2nd Street.

• People bringing dogs into the park were reported at 2:28 p.m.

• A license plate was reported stolen at 2:37 p.m. in the 1000 block of 8th Street. The incident remains under investigation.

• Police cited an improperly parked vehicle at 4:01 p.m. in the 100 block of 5th Avenue.

• Luke W. Phalin, 36, Albany, was cited at 5 p.m. for a seatbelt violation and driving without vehicle insurance on Wis. 69.

• Kevin L. Brown, 57, St. Joseph, Illinois, was cited at 5:23 p.m. for a seatbelt violation on Wis. 69.

• Abigail Alanis, 22, Monroe, was cited at 5:56 p.m. for illegal window tinting on Wis. 69.

• Rodney Whitehead, 26, New Glarus, was cited at 6:20 p.m. for a seatbelt violation and driving without vehicle insurance on Wis. 69.

• Casey S. Arnsmeier, 22, Monroe, was cited at 6:44 p.m. for a seatbelt violation on Wis. 69.

• Maribeth A. Brown, 36, Blanchardville, was cited at 8:26 p.m. for driving with an expired vehicle registration in the 1300 block of 6th Avenue.

• Thomas G. Wastart II, 59, Oxford, was cited at 9:08 p.m. for speeding in the 1100 block of Wis. 69.

• An officer assisted a citizen with faulty windshield wipers at 10:43 p.m. in the 1400 block of Wis. 69.

• Jeffrey J. Shea, Hillsboro, was cited at 10:43 p.m. for speeding in the 600 block of Wis. 69.

On Saturday:

• A suspicious vehicle was reported at 3:06 a.m. in the 1400 block of Wis. 69.

• A suspicious person was reported at 3:24 a.m. in the 300 block of Cow Path Lane.

• Police checked an individual's welfare at 2:11 p.m. at the intersection of 6th Avenue and Railroad Street.

• A noise complaint was made at 10:25 p.m. in the 200 block of 5th Avenue.

On Sunday:

• Disorderly conduct was reported at 1:07 a.m. in the 1200 block of 3rd Street.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff at 1:28 p.m. with locating an intoxicated driver in the Town of New Glarus.

• A 911 call was made at 4:22 p.m. in the 2400 block of Wis. 69. Everything was found to be okay.



GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - On Saturday:

• Michael J. Mason, 51, Brooklyn, was arrested at 5:20 p.m. for driving while intoxicated on a UTV after he was found driving a UTV in the N1800 block of County M, Town of Cadiz. He was also cited for driving with a prohibited alcohol concentration and driving a UTV on the roadway.

• Torranda M. Ross, 39, Madison, was cited at 6:54 p.m. for driving with a suspended license in the N900 block of Wis. 69, Town of Albany.



LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• A tree blocking the roadway was reported at 2:04 a.m. on Silver Spring Road, Town of Wiota.

• A deputy helped unlock a vehicle at 3:05 p.m. on Wildlife Road, Town of Wiota.

• Virginia L. Somers, 22, Appleton, was cited at 8:16 p.m. for driving without proof of vehicle insurance on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont.

• Reyna Tapia-Vazquez, 42, Belmont, was cited at 10 p.m. for driving without a valid license and without proof of vehicle insurance and for driving left of the centerline.

On Saturday:

• Samantha M. Larson, 21, Webster, was cited at 2:22 a.m. for speeding and driving without proof of vehicle insurance on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.

• A deputy assisted a driver at 3 a.m. on County W, Town of Benton.

• A deputy helped unlock a vehicle at 6:49 p.m. on County F, Town of Fayette.

• A deputy assisted a driver at 7:08 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 9:22 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Wiota.

• Livestock on the roadway were reported at 9:42 p.m. on County O, Town of Shullsburg.

• Kethan A. Rood, 19, Dubuque, Iowa, was arrested at 10:08 p.m. on a Lafayette County warrant on Galena Street in Darlington. Rood was jailed.

• A deputy assisted the Darlington Police at 10:45 p.m. with a traffic stop on Galena Street in Darlington.

• A deputy checked an individual's welfare at 11:22 p.m. on Division Street in Darlington.

On Sunday:

• Jose A. Hernandez-Herna, 19, Darlington, was arrested at 3:13 a.m. on two Lafayette County warrants. Hernandez-Herna was jailed.
