Albany Police

ALBANY - Cody L. Calkins, 17, Albany, was cited Wednesday, April 3, for possession of tobacco products at Albany High School.

Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - David A. Scofield, Jr., 24, Brodhead, was arrested twice the morning of Sunday, March 31, on top of three similar arrests the week before. At 10:26 a.m., he was stopped in the 600 block of East 2nd Avenue and cited for driving with a revoked license, driving without vehicle insurance, failure to obey a lawful order and carrying a prohibited weapon. Less than an hour later, at 11:21 a.m., he was stopped in the 600 block of 3rd Street and cited for driving with a revoked license, driving without vehicle insurance and failure to obey a lawful order. Both times he was released with a court date.

• Dennis R. Weichelt, 66, Brodhead, was cited for hit-and-run on an unattended vehicle in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue at 1:24 p.m. Monday, April 1.

• Kimberly A. Ross, 26, Hollandale, was cited for speeding in the N100 block of 1st Center Avenue at 9:39 p.m. Monday, April 1.

• A female juvenile from Brodhead was cited for a curfew violation at 12:09 a.m. Thursday, April 4, in the 2300 block of 1st Center Avenue.

• Brian A. Reed, 33, Brodhead, was cited Thursday, April 4, for keeping unlicensed dogs, stemming from an incident Feb. 26.

• Sunshine M.G. Balch, 18, Brodhead, was cited for speeding in the N100 block of 1st Center Avenue at 7:22 p.m. Friday, April 5.

• Toni L. Ciabatti, 46, Brodhead, was cited for speeding in the N100 block of 1st Center Avenue at 7:54 a.m. Friday, April 5.

• A 17-year-old Brodhead male was cited Saturday, April 6, for theft of movable property, stemming from an incident March 13.

Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - Eugene Shirley, 46, Darlington, was cited for disorderly conduct at a residence on Louisa Street at 8:10 p.m. Friday, April 5.

• Hans Gehrmann, 19, Darlington, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance at about 6:45 p.m. Saturday, April 6, following a traffic stop on West River Street.

• Casey Hubner, 25, Darlington, was cited for carrying open intoxicants on the street at about 2:45 p.m. Sunday, April 7, following an incident in the 300 block of Main Street.

• Pedro Duran-Duran, 41, Darlington, was cited for driving with a suspended license (fourth or greater offense) and for following too closely in an automobile at about 6:50 p.m. Sunday, April 7, following a traffic stop on Wisconsin 23 at Donahoe Drive.

Monroe Police

MONROE - Kenneth M. Johnson, 22, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of substantial battery after police were called at 6:49 a.m. Sunday, April 7, to a report of brothers fighting in a residence in the 1500 block of 13th Avenue. The victim was allegedly struck in the head with a tire iron. He was taken by police to Monroe Clinic for treatment of moderate injuries. Johnson was jailed pending court.

• Kate I. Olson, 34, New Glarus, was arrested on a third-offense charge of driving while intoxicated at 2:46 p.m. Sunday, April 7, in the 500 block of 20th Avenue. She is also charged with a misdemeanor offense of resisting or obstructing an officer. She was jailed pending court.

• Isaac M. Fry, 25, Monroe, was cited for driving without a valid license after police responded at 8:42 Sunday, April 7, to a motorcycle accident with minor injuries in the 1000 block of 9th Street. Fry lost control and hit the pavement. He declined medical treatment.

• A warning notice was left for a property owner in the 1000 block of 10th Street at 10:29 a.m. Friday, April 5, after an officer on patrol noticed a vehicle with expired plates parked in the driveway, plus a lot of garbage in the yard.

• A warning notice was left for a property owner in the 1200 block of 14th Avenue after police responded to a complaint at 11 a.m. Friday, April 5, of junk on the property, including wooden pallets, old machinery and empty tanks.

• A warning notice was left for a property owner in the 900 block of 20th Street after an officer on patrol noticed a vehicle with expired plates parked on the grass at 11:45 a.m. Friday, April 5.

• A complaint of loud music coming from a garage in the 1100 block of 13th Avenue was reported at 12:07 p.m. Friday, April 5. It was a band practicing. Police warned the band to find a way to make their music quieter.

• A warning notice was left for a property owner in the 1200 block of 21st Street at 2:01 p.m. Friday, April 1, after an officer on patrol noticed a vehicle without plates parked at the residence and tires, mattresses, gutters and other debris lying in the yard.

• A warning notice to clean up and maintain the property was left for a property owner in the 900 block of 23rd Street at 1:58 p.m. Saturday, April 6.

• An officer on patrol found graffiti in the parking ramp Downtown at 2:43 a.m. Sunday, April 7. The graffiti was of an 'R' with a crown on it.

• A woman reported a physical assault at 2:48 a.m. Sunday, April 7, in the area of 16th Street and 23rd Avenue. She told police she was walking home from a bar when two men she didn't know began to follow her. One of the men eventually disappeared. The other asked if she had cigarettes. She told him she doesn't smoke. He knocked her down and took her purse. The purse was found nearby, with nothing apparently missing from it. She was taken to the ER at Monroe Clinic. No description of the suspect is available, except that he may have left in a sedan.

• A 17-year-old mother in the 2000 block of 14th Avenue complained at 1:53 p.m. Sunday, April 7, that her mother was not giving her access to a benefits card. Police deemed the complaint unfounded.

• A resident in the 1400 block of 23rd Avenue reported at 1:56 p.m. Sunday, April 7, that an unknown person cut four strands of Christmas lights that had been up in her yard since Christmas. She told police the vandalism happened sometime since January.

• An ongoing theft of prescription painkillers was reported at 6:39 p.m. Sunday, April 7, at a residence in the 1700 block of 16th Street.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Jamison R. Schumacher, 19, Belmont, was arrested for a Department of Corrections probation violation on West Mound Road in Belmont Township at 5:13 p.m. Friday, April 5. He was jailed.

• Justin D. Fenn, 28, Lena, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign on Galena Street in South Wayne at 3:37 p.m. Friday, April 5.

• Dale J. Witheril, 26, Racine, was cited for speeding on Wis. 11 in Gratiot Township at 7:59 p.m. Friday, April 5.

• Douglas W.M. Champion, 19, Shullsburg, was cited for driving with a suspended license on County W in Benton Township at 9:22 p.m. Saturday, April 7.

• Louis M. Testa, 59, Davis, was cited for speeding on Wis. 11 in New Diggings Township at 8:22 a.m. Sunday, April 7.

• A deputy assisted Argyle police with a disturbance at a residence on South State Street in Argyle at 12:49 a.m. Friday, April 5.

• Animal neglect was reported on Wis. 81 in Darlington Township on 12:47 p.m. Saturday, April 6.

• A hit-and-run on a mailbox on County F in Seymour Township was reported at 1:17 p.m. Sunday, April 7.
