MONROE - Ricardo S. Ortiz, 23, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct and jailed on a probation hold issued by the Department of Corrections at 11:23 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, after officers responded to the 1400 block of 9th Street to check on Ortiz. According to officers' reports, Ortiz was standing outside his mother's home yelling and got disorderly when police asked him to go back in the house. He had been drinking, which his mother told police violated rules of his probation. Police verified this with court records, and transported Ortiz to jail. Officers were dispatched to the jail again later in the night for a report that Ortiz was being an unruly inmate.
- A 14-year-old male Browntown student was cited for harassment at Monroe Middle School at 7:40 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, after school authorities reported that he was consistently making lewd comments and requests to females.
- The top of a picnic table in Recreation Park, 1700 22nd Ave., reportedly sustained slight damages due to a juvenile vandal's fire at about 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 18. The Parks Department was notified to repaint the table.
- Minor damage to a parked 1984 Oldsmobile 98, possibly at the hands of a vandal, was reported at 5:18 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, in the 2500 block of 6th Street.

MONROE - Benjamin Michael Hale, 32, Monroe, was arrested on a probation hold at 10:22 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, at the Green County Justice Center. He was jailed.

DARLINGTON - A deputy assisted the Shullsburg Police Department in investigating a burglary of a West Water Street business at 8 a.m. Wednesday, April 18.

DARLINGTON - William R. Pollock, 20, Darlington, was arrested on a charge of identity theft Friday, April 13, following an investigation into a stolen credit card.
- Richard McCallister, 25, Darlington, was arrested on charges of battery, disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, following a disturbance at a residence on Louisa Street.
