Pearl M. Beightol, age 89 of Monroe, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Pleasant View Nursing Home where she had resided since November, 2007.
Pearl was born April 2, 1919 in Brodhead, Wisconsin, the daughter of Herman and Sophia (Busche) Riese. She married Raymond G. Beightol on September 13, 1938 in Dubuque, Iowa.
Pearl worked at the St. Clare Hospital pharmacy, Pleasant View Nursing Home Pharmacy, and the Prescription Center of Monroe for several years. She also was employed at East School as a kitchen aide. She was a resident of Angelus Retirement Community from June of 2006 until entering Pleasant View.
Pearl was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Monroe and the Monroe Moose Lodge #754.
Survivors include four children, Nancy Putnam of Ottawa, IL, Carol (Richard) Johnson of Verona, Millie (Marlow) Walter of Orangeville, IL, and Dave (Linda) Beightol of Monroe; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leonard (Laura) Riese of Colby, WI, and Charles Riese of Unity, WI; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond on March 1, 2006; and a sister-in-law, Rita Riese.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2008, at Grace Lutheran Church in Monroe with Reverend John Tabaka officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead. A visitation will be held Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund will be established in Pearl's name.
