Pauline O. Laube, 84, Durand, Illinois, died at 7:30 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2011 in her own home after a brief illness.

Born December 21, 1926 in Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fay and Elfrida (Gulbrantson) Harris. She lived 62 years in Durand, coming here from Rockford. Married Raymond Laube in Durand, Illinois on October 10, 1948. She was a homemaker and then worked for MidCity Stationery in Rockford for six years. Member of Durand United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women's for many years, River Forest Riders and Laona Neighbors. She baked wedding cakes and decorated cakes.

Survivors include husband, Raymond Laube; son Gary (Brenda) Laube, both of Durand, Illinois; daughter Carol (Doyle) Roskos, Wichita, Kansas; son Ken (Margery) Laube, Tucson, Arizona; daughter Barbara Lemons; son Steve (Christine) Laube, both of Durand, Illinois; 18 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; sisters, Frances Norup, Belvidere, Illinois and Alyce Krusemeier, Rockford, Illinois and brother Ron Harris, Apple Valley, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, three children, Kathleen Riggs, Donald and Neil and brother Fay Harris, Jr.

Funeral Ceremonies will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Durand United Methodist Church, 102 E Main, Durand, Illinois with Pastor Brian Channel officiating, assisted by Reverend Thomas Hardwick. Burial will be in Durand Cemetery, Durand, Illinois. Visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home, 101 Main Street, Durand, Illinois from 6:00 -8:00 p.m., Monday, July 25.

Memorials may be given to the Durand United Methodist Church.
