Patrick J. E. Hasley, age 59, died Feb. 11, 2008 at his home in Orlando, Fla. He was born Dec. 21, 1948 in Hawaii, the son of Major Merlin and Mary Gage Hasley. He attended schools in Arlington, Ill., Hileah, Fla. and graduated from Monroe High School in 1967.

Master Sgt. Pat Hasley served 20 years in the Air Force as a vehicle operations supervisor. He served seven years in foreign service and received the Vietnam Service Medal with 4 oak leaf clusters and several joint service commendation medals.

He is survived by his stepfather, Roy Klostermeyer; three nephews, Eric, Shawn and Trent Hasley; aunts, Arabelle Mitchell and Susan (Donald) Spencer; Uncle Harold Larse; and cousins, Joyce (Billy) Stouffer and Everett Eastman.

He is preceded in death by his father, Merlin, in 1970; a sister, Kimberly in 1950; brother, Michael in 2005; and his mother, Mary Gage Hasley Klostermeyer; grandparents, Rose and Earl Hasley and John and Lela Gage; and sister, Erma Eastman Larse in 2005.

Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 18, at the Blaisdell Cemetery, rural South Wayne. A veteran service was conducted by the Gratiot Veterans of Foreign Wars.
