ALBANY - Patrick Gale Petersen, age 69, passed away unexpectedly on January 27, 2018 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital.
Patrick was born on March 31, 1948 in Monroe, the son of Nelson "Pete" and Isadore "Nidge" (Dunphy) Petersen. Patrick graduated from Albany High School and later Madison engineering school. He worked for American Family Insurance for over 25 years in the IT department. Patrick was a huge NASCAR fan and enjoyed cars and racing, he loved music especially when it was on vinyl, playing cards, snow skiing and fishing. Patrick played in a pool league for many years and he was an avid sports fan where he supported the Green Bay Packers.
Patrick was married to Kay Brueggeman on January 2, 1981. He is survived by his wife, Kay; two children, Ashley "A.P." Petersen and Micky Petersen; one grandson, Zane Miller; three siblings, Margaret (Ted) Petersen, Jack (Tracy) Petersen and Don Petersen; one niece, Kristel Petersen and other numerous relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family in Patrick's memory.
A visitation will be held at the Albany Lions Club, 402 N. Cincinnati Street, Albany WI on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. A memorial service will also be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM.
