WINSLOW - Patricia "Pat" A. Hastings, age 73, passed away on Saturday August 16, 2014 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on January 26, 1941 in Freeport, IL to Elwyn and June (Kleckler) Solace. She married Robert Hastings on December 30, 1960 at the Winslow United Methodist Church. She was in the first graduating class of Lena-Winslow High School, class of 1959. Pat was a manager for the FS Faststop in Lena since its inception. She worked alongside her husband at the Winslow Stockyards and also worked at the Winslow Boco station for ten years. She was a member of the McConnell United Methodist Church. Pat especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren and the many weekends spent in Wisconsin at Castle Rock Lake. She served on the Winslow Park Board and was very active in many Winslow community events especially Winslow River Days. She was a den mother for Boy Scout Troup #29.

She is survived by her husband Robert of Winslow, IL, three children; Charles (Lorna) Hastings of Lena, IL, Doug Hastings of Pearl City, IL and Darla (David) Cobb of Warren, IL, Seven grandchildren; Bradley (Anne), Brandon (Amber), Ryan, Travis and Dylan Hastings, Erica and Mitchell Stocks, brothers; Steve Solace of Winslow and Scott (Deb) Solace of Lena, IL, Five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by parents and one brother Larry Solace.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday August 20, 2014 at the McConnell Methodist Church.

Visitation will be from 4:00 till 8:00 PM on Tuesday August 19 at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena.

Burial will be in Rock Lily Cemetery.

Officiating will be Ernie Stabenow.

A memorial has been established in her name for Hospice and the Alzheimer's Association.
