GREEN BAY/BELLEVILLE - Norma T. Maurer, age 88, formerly of the Belleville/New Glarus area passed away on Monday February 27, 2012 at Parkview Nursing Home in Green Bay. She was born on November 5, 1923 to her parents Harold and Martha (Peterson) Johnson. On December 22, 1941 she was united in marriage to Edwin W. Maurer at the Lutheran Church Parsonage in Blanchardville. Norma farmed with her husband for many years. She was a member of the Swiss United Church of Christ in New Glarus. Norma loved flowers, gardening, and her animals. She also enjoyed playing a good game of cards or checkers and dancing.

Norma is survived by her sons Eugene Maurer of Belleville, WI and Roger (Joan) Maurer of Algoma, WI, a daughter Kristine (Steven) Sherven of Belleville, WI, nine grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edwin, brothers, sisters, and daughter-in-law Geraldine Maurer.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 5, 2012 at Zentner-Beal Funeral Home, 29 6th Ave., New Glarus, WI with the Rev. Todd Hackman officiating with burial in the Swiss Church Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home in New Glarus.
