Nina Lee Binkley, age 62, of Monroe, Wisconsin died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at her home. She was born February 13, 1950 in Manitowoc, WI the daughter of Elliott and Olga (Calero) Tipps and graduated from UW-River Falls with a Bachelor of Science Degree.
Nina and Lee Binkley were married May 24, 1980 at Canyon Camp in Stockton, IL. Nina was an elementary school teacher for 33 years as well as a part time worker at Ahrens Acres and Uniquely Yours Quilt Shop. She was a Master Gardener and member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Monroe, Wisconsin Day Lily Society, and Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, baking, and spending time with family, friends, and pets.
Surviving are her husband, Lee Binkley of Monroe, WI; mother, Olga Tipps of Green Bay, WI; son, Matt (Annie Esser) Binkley of Milton, WI; daughter, Ericka Binkley of Chicago, IL; brother, Steve (Karen) Tipps of New Franken, WI; sisters, Barbara Tipps of Seattle, WA and Christine (John) Abbott of Huntsville, AL; sister-in-law, Doris Tipps of San Antonio, TX; nephews, Allen, Alex, Ryan, and Simon Tipps; nieces, Emily and Trinity Tipps; and goddaughter, Catherine Spielman. She was predeceased by her father, Elliott Tipps; brother, Mike Tipps; and father & mother-in-law, George & Vivian Binkley.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 26, 2012 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Monroe with Rev. William T. Mike Heath officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at Freeport, IL.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Drive & N. 18th Avenue in Monroe.
Memorials to St. John's United Church of Christ in Monroe or Monroe Clinic Hospice would be appreciated in Nina's memory.
