VERSAILLES, KY - Michael (Mick) Naber, 61, Versailles, KY, passed away of a sudden illness Saturday evening, December 29, 2007 at Mercy Hospital in Janesville, WI. He was born May 28, 1946 in Rockford IL, the son of Harold and Jane (Fitzgerald) Naber. He was a Pecatonica, IL area resident most of his life. He married Kathy Schneeberger April 16, 1977 in Brodhead, WI. He was employed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky as a design technician for the past 13 years. He was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church in Versailles. Active in bowling, golf and an avid sports fan, especially racing. A lifelong Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.

Survivors include his wife Kathy; sons, Casey (Jessica) Naber of Murray, KY, and CJ Naber of Versailles; his parents, Harold and Jane Naber of Pecatonica; sister, Jill Stites of Buffalo Grove, IL; nephew, Ryan Stites of Buffalo Grove, IL; niece, Erin (Joseph) Vance of Schaumburg, IL; mother-in-law, Gladys Schneeberger of Brodhead, WI, her children and family.

Prayer services are 10 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2008 at Kenneth L. Countryman Funeral Home, 529 Washington Street, Pecatonica, IL, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Pecatonica, with Father Robert Sweeney officiating.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where a rosary service is at 8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Pecatonica. A memorial fund has been established.
