EAST DUBUQUE, Ill. - Michael E. Gedmin, 68, of East Dubuque, died at 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at Yuma Regional Medical Center Cancer.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded.
He was born on Jan. 21, 1944, in Chicago, son of Edward and Imogene Gedmin. He graduated from Regis High School in Burbank, Ill.
Mike and Bonnie were married on Aug. 14, 1993.
He was very proud of being a Chicago Police Detective. He also worked at the casino's as a pit supervisor.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie; a son, Jeffery; step-children, Curtis Sharkey, Deanna Santiago and Nancy Riem; two sisters; a brother; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
