Melodie Bose, 62, of Freeport, died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at her home. Melodie was born in Freeport on July 1, 1954. She was an avid Sci Fi channel watcher and movie goer who enjoyed Star Wars and X-Men. Melodie enjoyed bowling, darts and music. She loved watching her grandchildren play basketball, soccer, swim, perform in school concerts and sing in school performances.
Melodie is a Freeport native. She graduated from Freeport High School in 1972. She worked many years for Western States Insurance Company in Freeport, Wal-Mart and Farm and Fleet. She served as the sports department manager at Farm and Fleet before she retired.
Melodie is survived by her parents Norma and George Buss of Freeport; her sister Ronda (Doug) Paulson of Freeport; two daughters, Anna (Mark) Nesbitt of Monroe, WI; Kathy (Matt) Phillips of Modesto, IL; one brother, Jack (Patti) Fosler of Jacksonville, Florida; and three grandchildren, Kayleigh Nesbitt, Joseph Phillips, Katelynn Phillips; three nieces; many great nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Grace Lutheran Church, 1025 15th Ave. in Monroe, WI. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Pastor John Tabaka will be officiating. A luncheon is to follow.
