FREEPORT - Mary V. Hill, 80 of Freeport passed away, Monday, April 9th at Liberty Village. Born November 30, 1937 to John V. and Grace (Kammerer) Wall. She married Ralph Hill on February 14, 1960. He passed on October 13, 2000.

She was very involved in the mission work of her church serving as treasurer of the Ladies Mission group and putting together medical bandages to be sent to Africa. She and her husband were also supporters and volunteers for the Northern Illinois Food Bank. Mary was also a part of the Kelly Springfield Retirement Club.

She is survived by her three daughters, Valerie (Gary) Hagemann of Rockford, Il; Vicky (Jeff) Reuter of Genoa, IL; Vivian (Shawna Williams) Hill of Mesa, AZ and her sister, Beverly Hartwig of Monroe. Mary had six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Virgil Hill and her brother, Gordon Wall.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 14, 2018 at First Free Methodist Church Freeport at 9:30 a.m. with a service following at 11:00 a.m. A private burial in Brodhead, WI will be later in the day.

A memorial has been established in her name for First Free Methodist Church and for Meadow Ridge Apartments Activity Fund.
