Martin Lee Robertson, age 70 of South Pasadena, Florida, died on Thursday, July 14, 2011. He was born February 6, 1941 in Argyle, Wisconsin, the son of Ralph Phillip and Alma Clara (Hagen) Robertson. He attended Monroe High School and moved to Florida in 1976.
Martin was a dog lover who worked at various kennels in the St. Petersburg, FL area.
He was considered a favorite resident of the Pasadena Manor Nursing Home where he resided since 2004.
He is survived by a brother, Eben (Grace) Robertson of Monroe; a sister, Karen (Bill) Bohn of Janesville; two step-sisters, Charolette (Vernus) Cassidy of Mt. Horeb, Nora (Wayne) Nipple of Albany; a step-brother, Don (Delores) Hawkins of Loves Park, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, A. Lugene Robertson; step-father, Dean Hawkins; and a brother, Kenneth Robertson.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, with Reverend Randy Booth of the Monroe United Methodist Church officiating. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe, at a later date. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
