Mark Elsworth Keene, age 63, of Monroe, died on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Monroe Clinic Hospital. He was born on January 20, 1953 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of Jerry and Delores Keene.

Mark graduated from Chisholm High school.

Mark and Cheryl Combs were united in marriage on September 13, 1996 in San Marcos, California.

Mark owned and operated the Monroe Lock Shop in Monroe and North County Lock and Safe, in San Diego, California.

He was a member of the Associated Locksmiths of America. Mark was a movie buff, enjoyed gardening, woodworking, camping, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Keene of Monroe, sons, Brandon (Fanni Gabor) Keene and Jeremy Keene; daughters, Hayley and Jamie Keene; sisters, Susan (Sanford) Jett, Kathy (Dan) Murphy and Sandy (Mark) Lilly.

He is predeceased by his parents, brothers, Tim and Kevin Keene.

A Celebration of his Life will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Keene family home, 2110 11th Street in Monroe.

Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home is assisting the family.
