Marilyn J. Dean, age 75 of Albany, Wisconsin died Monday, October 24, 2011 at Don & Marilyn Anderson Hospice, Inc. in Fitchburg. She was born September 1, 1936 in Portage, WI the daughter of Rudolph and Lowella (Thorne) Pfeifer and graduated from Beloit, WI Memorial High School in 1954.

Marilyn and Duane M. Dean, Sr. were married on September 17, 1954 in Beloit and they farmed in the Belleville, WI Area. Marilyn also was a secretary for Juda High School, waitress at Edgewater Café in Albany, ran the Albany Nutrition Site, and a waitress at Dutch's Inn in Monroe.

Surviving are her children, Rudolph Dean of South Wayne, Kirk Dean of Monroe, Deborah (James E.) Johnson, Sr. of Darlington, Jackie (Jack Martin) Dean of Monroe, Tracie (Bruce) Walz of Albany, & Duane M. (Tammy) Dean, Jr. of Monroe; 12 Grandchildren; 9 Great-Grandchildren; and many relatives & friends. She was predeceased by sons, Kurt & Scott; husband, Duane, Sr.; Parents; and many relatives from both sides.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home, 1455 Mansion Drive & N. 18th Avenue in Monroe, with Pastor Pat Soddy officiating. Burial will be private at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens in South Beloit, IL.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 12:00 Noon on Saturday at the funeral home.

A Memorial Fund is being established in Marilyn's memory.
