Miller, Marie Ann (Nee Simkovich) of Brown Deer, WI, age 86, passed away on February 8, 2013. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Miller, Sr., a son, Joseph Miller, and a granddaughter, Amber (daughter of James.) She is survived by one sister, Terry Sackette, eight sons: Brian (Nina), James, Michael (Rita), Mark (Kathy), Harold, Jr., (Barb), Karl (Dominga), Kevin, David (Denise) and one daughter MaryAnn Vance (Kelly.) Also survived by 30 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Born August 14, 1926 in Beaver Meadows, PA, Marie moved to Wisconsin to help open White Haven Nursing Home in Monroe with the Miller family. She worked full time at St. Clare Hospital and part time at White Haven while raising 10 children. She was an exceptional nurse, and was taught to care for the patient as if she were caring for her Lord. Marie was devoted to her Catholic faith and prayed for God's will in all things. She was a loving mother and "Baba" and playing with her grandchildren and watching them gave her complete joy. She lived frugally, gave generously, danced, laughed and smiled beautifully. She loved her family and her life, and will be greatly missed by everyone who was blessed to know her. A Rosary 9:30 AM, Visitation 9:45 AM, and Funeral Mass 10:30 AM to be held at St. Clare of Assisi Parish/St. Victor's, Monroe, Wisconsin, on Thursday, February 14.
