NEW GLARUS - Marian L. Vetterli, age 53, of New Glarus passed away on Friday, March 22, 2013 at her home. She was born on December 4, 1959 at Monroe, WI to her parents Wilbert and Betty (Fischer) Schultz. Marian graduated from Belleville High School in 1978 and then the Scientific College of Beauty in 1979. On May 19, 1979 she was united in marriage to John Vetterli at the First United Church of Christ in Bellleville. Marian worked as a beautician at B.J.'s Salon in Oregon and the Main St. Salon in Belleville for fifteen years. She also owned and operated Vetterli Paint and Body in New Glarus with her family.

Marian is survived by her husband John, Mother Betty Legler, son Phillip, and daughter Casie. She is further survived by her sisters Shirley (Charlie) Johnson, Charlene (Joe) Frick, Nancy (Kent) Brauer, Lorene (Kim) Bowman, Jean (Fritz) von Heimberg, Sue (Roy) Kempfer, father-in-law and mother-in-law Paul and Marie Vetterli, a brother-in-law Paul (Heidi) Vetterli, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a loyal friend and companion Chloe.

She was preceded in death by her father Wilbert Schultz in 1977, step-father Art Legler in 1982, and a sister Marilyn Zweifel in 2004.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home, 29 Sixth Ave., New Glarus, WI with the Rev. Mary Gafner officiating.

Relatives and friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of service on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home in New Glarus.
