Marian Hazel (Bayrhoffer) Heuer, age 102 died Monday, August 7, 2017 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. She was born to Theodore and Anna (Mau) Bayrhoffer on October 29, 1914 in Monroe. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1931 and Spencerian College in Milwaukee in 1932.
She returned to Monroe during the Great Depression and was employed at the First National Bank. She later was a secretary at the Swiss Colony and worked in the Treasurer's Office at City Hall. She also was a part time secretary in her husband's Hudson-Allis Chalmers Dealership. Marian married Victor Heuer on February 22, 1936 at St. Johns United Church of Christ in Monroe by Rev. P.A. Schuh. She was a longtime member of St. Johns United Church of Christ.
She is survived by two children: Ronald (Kathy) Heuer of Racine and Marcia (Joe) Donny of Monroe; 5 grandchildren, Debbie Donny of New Mexico, Christie (John) Huber of Colorado, Joanne (Jim) Upmann of Monroe, Michael (Shari) Heuer of Middleton, and Michelle (John) Garner of Georgia; 13 great grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Victor in 1997; son-in-law, Joe Donny; 2 sisters: Frances (Frank) Melville and Gladys (Howard) Steinmann; 3 brothers: Theodore (Carol) Bayrhoffer, Jr., Robert (Kay) Bayrhoffer, and Charles, as a small child.
Private graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 10:00am until 12:00pm Noon at the SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home.
