ORANGEVILLE - Lowell K. Myers, 77, of rural Orangeville died Monday June 14, 2010 at FHN Memorial Hospital.

Born August 21, 1932 in Freeport he was the son of Clark R. and Hulda M. (Nott) Myers. He was a 1950 graduate of Dakota High School.

Lowell married Rosie Tobler on February 3, 1952. He was known as an outstanding Dairy Farmer in the Orangeville and Rock Grove areas. Lowell loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Rosie of Orangeville; 2 daughters, Connie (Joe) Geiter of Freeport and Sallie (Roger) Ellingson of Orangeville; 1 son, Mark Myers of Freeport; 1 sister, Vanette (Melvin) Rackow of Orangeville; 4 grandchildren, Tara (Wesley) Kereven of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Chad (fiancé Bekah Davisson) Ellingson of Decatur, Tracy Ellingson of Orangeville, and Christina Myers of Freeport; 1 great grandchild, Samantha Kereven of Waukesha, Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister, Neva Schubert; and 1 grandchild, Tammy Geiter.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

There will be a gathering for friends and relatives Thursday 4 to 7 p.m. at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Dakota. A memorial service will be conducted Friday 10:30 a.m. at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home.

A memorial has been established.
