Monroe Police

On August 28:

● 5:24 p.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries, in the 2100 block of l5th Street. An investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Jose F. Casco Hoyes, 33, Monroe, was conducting a backing maneuver from a driveway, when it collided with a legally parked and unoccupied vehicle. Casco Hoyes was cited for unsafe backing, operating without a valid driver’s license and operating without motor vehicle insurance. Casco Hoyes was released pending a court appearance.

On August 29:

● 2:38 a.m., officers arrested Dustin J. Olson, 33, Monroe, in the 600 block of West 8th Street, on a warrant issued by the Lafayette County Sheriffs Office for failure to appear in court on a disorderly conduct case. Olson was confined in the Green County Jail pending transfer to Lafayette County. 

● 10:30 a.m., officers arrested Robert W. Alien, 41, Monticello, in the 700 block of 3rd Avenue, on a warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole, for a parole violation. Alien was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.


Lafayette County Sheriff

On August 24:

● 5:38 a.m. Deputies responded to McKnight ST, Village of South Wayne for theft. As a result, Tabitha M Taylor, 41, South Wayne was arrested for Probation Violation, Operating Motor Vehicle without Consent, and Resisting or Obstructing Officer. Taylor was also cited for Operating while Suspended. Taylor was transported to Lafayette County Jail where she was booked and remains.

On August 25:

7:07 p.m. Andy Velasquez-Garay, 26, Darlington was cited for OWL and Non Registra-tion on Center DR, City of Darlington.

On August 26:

● 11:39 a.m. Brooke P Nolte, 35, Shullsburg was arrested for a Lafayette County Warrant and brought to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody.

● 6:08 p.m. Darlington Fire responded to STH 23 in the City for a dumpster fire. Darlington Police assisted.

● 7:11 p.m. Argyle Fire and EMS responded to STH 81, Argyle Township for a one vehicle accident. Richard A Andrews, 45, Brodhead was traveling eastbound on a 2005 Harley when he left the roadway and came to rest in the ditch. Andrews was Med Flighted from the scene and his motorcycle was towed from the scene with severe damage. Andrews was cited for Operating after Suspension and Failure to Maintain Control.

● 8:20 p.m. Woodford Fire, Woodford First and Argyle EMS responded to CTH N, Wiota Township for injuries resulting from a UTV crash on private property. Green County EMS assisted.

On August 27:

● 12:54 p.m. Darlington Fire and Lafayette County EMS responded to CTH G, Willow Springs Township for a one vehicle accident. 

● 1:13 p.m. Mineral Point Fire and EMS responded to STH 23, Willow Springs Township for a two vehicle accident. Robert L Phillips, 42, Darlington was traveling on STH 23 in a 2007 Jeep when he struck a 2015 Cadillac, being operated by Austin R Burbach, 22, Sun Prairie. Phillips was cited for Inattentive Driving.

On August 28:

● 5:23 a.m. Joan M. Jenson, 60, Woodford reported striking a deer on STH 78, Argyle Township. Jenson’s 2016 Ford received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

● 10:56 a.m. Roger G. Egan, 53, Cuba City reported striking a cow on Mine RD, Elk Grove Township. Egan’s 2022 Ford Received minor damage and was driven from the scene. 

● 7:24 p.m. Raul Rivera, 65, Austin TX reported striking a deer on STH 11, Gratiot Township. Rivera’s 2019 Nissan received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

On August 30:

● 6:36 p.m., Sheila M Miller, 42, Argyle reported striking a deer on Lancaster RD, Lamont Township. No injuries were reported and Miller’s 2019 Chevrolet received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

● 9:06 p.m., A deputy responded to W Center ST in the Village of South Wayne for a minor two vehicle accident.


Green County Sheriff

On August 27:

● At 12:11 p.m., Deputies responded to the N3800 block of County Highway E, in the Town of Decatur, for a motorcycle crash. Investigation revealed that a motorcycle operated by Justin M. Carreras, 28, of Loveland Co was traveling northbound. Carreras reported a southbound vehicle crossing the centerline. Carreras swerved to avoid the vehicle cause the motorcycle to overturn. Carreras reported no injuries, was not wearing a helmet or eye protection. The motorcycle sustained disabling damage and was removed from the scene.

● At 4:05 p.m., Deputies responded to a residence in the 900 block of 19th Street, in the City of Brodhead for the report of a physical altercation. Investigation resulted in Christopher L. Viti, 44, of Brodhead being arrested for Battery and Disorderly Conduct (domestic related). Viti was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending the posting of bond or an initial court appearance. The Albany Police Department assisted at the scene

On August 28:

● At approximately 12:53 p.m., Deputies responded to the Green County Probation and Parole Office, 2841 6th St., City of Monroe, and placed Brian J. Ellis, 51, of Monroe, under arrest for a Probation Warrant. Brian was housed at the Green County Jail where he will be held.
