BRODHEAD — On March 13:

●  At 4:45am, a 62 year old Brodhead man was arrested in the 1000 block of W Exchange St. for Theft. 

●  At 8:51am, Police responded to the 800 block of E Exchange St. for the report of an Animal Problem; a possible sick raccoon. The area was checked but the animal was not located.

●  At 11:32am, Police responded to the 100 block of 1st Center Ave. for the report of a Welfare Check; subjects in a vehicle possibly fighting. The vehicle was located but no signs of an altercation were observed. 

●  At 9:55pm, Police responded to the 1000 block of 19th St. for the report of Suspicious Activity; a subject with a flashlight behind a residence. The area was checked but no subject was located and no other suspicious activity was located. 

On March 14:

●  At 9:51pm, Police responded to the 2600 block of W 5th Ave. for the report of Suspicious Activity; a sound was heard coming from behind the house. The area was checked but no suspicious activity was located. 

●  At 10:54pm, a 49 year old Lena, IL, man was cited in the 300 block of 1st Center Ave. for Operating without a Valid License. 

●  At 11:53pm, two 17 year old Brodhead males, two 18 year old Brodhead males, an 18 year old Brodhead female, a 19 year old Janesville male, a 19 year old Brodhead male, a 19 year old Brodhead female, a 20 year old Evansville male and a 20 year old Brodhead man were cited for Underage Possession / Consumption of Alcohol in the 200 block of 8th St. following the report of loud music in the area. 

On March 15:

●  At 8:26pm, Police responded to the 100 block of 1st St. for a Traffic Complaint reported by Rock County Sheriff’s Office; a vehicle almost struck another vehicle outside of the City. The vehicle was not located.

On March 17:

●  At 10:16am, Police responded to the 200 block of E 4th Ave for the report of Fraud; fraudulent text message from Amazon received. This matter remains under investigation.

●  At 4:11pm, Police responded to the 1100 block of 1st Center Ave for the report of Disorderly Conduct; subjects kicking park bathroom doors. Officers made contact with subjects and a verbal warning for Disorderly Conduct was issued due to no damage being done to the door. 

●  At 7:33pm, Police responded to the 700 block of 17th St for the report of Suspicious Activity; subject swinging light up baton around. Officers made contact with subject and it was found to be a light up dance stick. No additional Suspicious Activity was found. 

●  At 8:44pm, Police responded to the 2100 block of 1st Center Ave for the report of Suspicious Activity; truck parked in lot after hours. Officers made contact with vehicle and found it to be unoccupied. No additional Suspicious Activity was found.

On March 18:

●  At 8:52am, a 25 year old man was cited in the 100 block of 1st St for Possessing Open Intoxicants in a Motor Vehicle.

On March 19:

●  At 12:35am, Police responded to the 1200 block of 16th St for the report of an Animal Problem; dog at large. Officers patrolled area but were unable to locate the dog. The owner later called and advised the dog returned home.

DARLINGTON — On March 15: 

●  A deputy responded for a minor two-vehicle accident at 11:10 a.m. on county XX, Town of Belmont.

On March 17:

●  At 12:22 AM, a deputy responded STH 23, Gratiot Township for a traffic complaint. 

●  At 6:08 AM, Alexander P. Biddick, 28, Lena, IL was cited for Speeding on CTH P, Gratiot Township. 

●  At 6:24 AM, Quinn R. Sowle, 26, Lena, IL was cited for Speeding on CTH P, Gratiot Township. 

●  At 9:09 AM, A deputy responded to 26th ST, Hazel Green to assist Hazel Green Police with a domestic disturbance. 

●  At 11:43 AM, Benton First Response and Hazel Green EMS responded to High ST, New Diggings Township for a medical emergency. A deputy assisted on scene.

●  At 2:25 PM, A deputy responded to S Division ST, Village of South Wayne for a 911 misdial. 

●  At 3:17 PM, A deputy responded to CTH F, Village of Blanchardville for suspicious activity. 

●  At 8:38 PM, A deputy responded to E Main ST, Village of Benton for a hit and run. 

●  At 10:59 PM, Argyle EMS responded to Second ST, Village of Argyle for a medical emergency. 

On March 18:

●  At 6:45 AM, Sandra K. Smith, 73, Shullsburg reported striking a deer on STH 11, New Diggings Township. Smith’s 2022 Hyundai received moderate damage and was driven from the scene. 

●  At 8:48 AM, Tera G. Redfearn, 34, Hazel Green was arrested on STH 80, Platteville on three valid Lafayette County Warrants. Redfearn was transported to Lafayette County Jail where she remains in custody. 

●  At 10:07 AM, A deputy responded to CTH XX, Belmont Township for trespassing. 

●  At 11:31 AM, A deputy responded to STH 11, Gratiot Township for suspicious activity. 

●  At 1:06 PM, Argyle Fire and Argyle EMS responded to Spore RD, Wiota Township for a two vehicle accident. Brody M. Duerst, 20, Belleville was traveling westbound on Spore RD when he struck the vehicle in front of him driven by Sharon L. Moore, 80, Janesville. Duerst’s 1998 Lexus received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Moore’s 2020 Chevrolet received minor damage and was driven from the scene. No injuries were reported. A deputy assisted on scene. 

●  At 10:20 PM, Dagoberto Valldares-Flores, 22, Shullsburg was arrested for Operating Without a Valid License (2nd) on W Platteville AV, Village of Belmont. Valladares-Flores was transported to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked on his charge and later released.  

On March 19:

●  At 1:33 AM, Argyle EMS responded to S Fairview AV, Village of Argyle for a medical emergency.

●  At 1:36 AM, A deputy responded to S Main ST, Village of Blanchardville to assist Blanchardville Police with a 911 misdial.

●  At 3:22 AM, Deputies responded to Main ST, City of Darlington to assist Darlington Police with an assault. 

●  At 11:36 AM, A deputy responded to Mineral RD, Darlington Township for a check welfare. 

●  At 8:41 PM, A deputy responded to N Judgement ST in the City of Shullsburg for a vehicle unlock.

●  At 8:43 PM, Brandon S. Erdenberger, 23, Apple River, IL, was cited for Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign on W Mound RD, Belmont Township.

●  At 11:09 PM, Garret M. Rodebaugh, 20, Orangeville, IL, was cited for Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign on Spring ST in the City of Darlington.


MONTICELLO — On March 12:

●  At approximately 4:41 p.m., Officers responded to the N6700 block of State Hwy 69 to monitor traffic for a vehicle that was reported in a traffic/driving complaint outside of the village.  The vehicle did not pass through the village. 

●  At approximately 5:38 p.m., Officers received a complaint of loud exhaust on a vehicle and barking dogs.  This occurred in the 100 block of S. Main Street and Officers monitored the area. 

On March 13:

●  At approximately 12:29 a.m., Officers received a suspicious activity complaint in the 500 block of S. Main Street.  The area was checked and monitored.

●  At approximately 12:24 p.m., Officers conducted a welfare check in the 400 block of E. Coates Avenue.  Officers made contact and everything was found to be okay. 

●  At approximately 3:11 p.m., Officers received a parking complaint of a vehicle double parked in the 100 block of N. Main Street.  The vehicle in question was gone prior to the officer’s arrival. 

On March 14:

●  At approximately 8:04 a.m., Officers received a barking dog complaint in the 100 block of S. Main Street. As a result, Monte C. Molencamp, Monticello was cited for a barking dog violation.   There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty. 

●  At 8:11 p.m., Officers responded within the Village for an emergency medical call.  Green County EMS and Monticello Fire First Response also responded. 

On March 15:

●  At approximately 2:46 p.m., Officers responded to the 100 block of State Hwy 69 for a welfare check.  It was reported that a semi-tractor/trailer unit had been parked for several days with no one coming or going from it.  Contact was made with the driver and everything was found to be okay. No further action needed. 

●  At approximately 3:04 p.m., Officers responded within the Village for an emergency medical call.  Green County EMS and Monticello Fire First Response also responded. 

●  At approximately 4:15 p.m., Officers received a call from a citizen who lives just outside the village.  The citizen wanted to report that their dog had gotten loose.  They requested the police department to keep watch while on patrol in the village. 

On March 17:

●  At approximately 10:35 a.m., Officers received a report of a possible hazard involving a road grate.  The street department was contacted. 

●  At approximately 12:18 p.m., Officers were dispatched to Montesian Park in the 100 block of N. Monroe Street in regards to vandalism.  The incident remains under investigation and pending review of surveillance camera footage. 

●  At approximately 12:42 p.m., Officers received a decorative item that was found in Montesian Park located in the 100 block of N. Monroe Street.  The item was placed into lost and found at the police department. 

On March 18:

●  At approximately 12:51 p.m., Officers received a report of 2 black lab dogs running loose in the 100 block of N. Main Street.  Officers checked the area and did not locate the dogs. 

●  At approximately 2:06 p.m., Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Oak Ridge Avenue for a family dispute.  The persons involved were separated for the night to calm the verbal dispute.
