On February 18:
● 3:02 a.m. Mineral Point EMS responded to CTH G, Town of Willow Springs for a medical emergency. Deputies assisted on scene. As a result, Geontae M Gillespie-Murray was arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Battery and Bail Jumping. Gillespie-Murray was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody
On February 20:
● 7:16 PM Garrett J Toay, 45, Stockton IL reported striking a deer on STH 11, New Diggings Township. Toays’ 2021 Ford received minor damage and was driven from the scene.
● 6:26 p.m. Shullsburg Fire and EMS responded to W Water ST in the City for a stove fire. A deputy assisted on scene.
On February 21:
● 7:16 p.m. Garrett J Toay, 45, Stockton IL reported striking a deer on STH 11, New Diggings Township. Toays’ 2021 Ford received minor damage and was driven from the scene.
On February 22:
● 12:40 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, Town of Shullsburg for suspicious activity
● 7:29 a.m. A deputy came across a disabled vehicle on STH 78, Village of Gratiot.
● 8:43 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, City of Shullsburg to assist the Shullsburg Police Department with a theft.
● 9:57 a.m. Darcy L Williams, 67, Browntown reported striking a deer on CTH N, Wayne Township. Williams’ 1990 Lincoln received minor damages and was driven from the scene.
● 11:04 p.m. Jessica M Aide, 43, Dodgeville reported striking a deer on STH 23, Willow Springs Township. Aide’s 2019 Jeep received minor damages and was driven from the scene.
On February 23:
● 6:20 a.m. Tyler H Mueller, 28, Dodgeville reported striking a deer on CTH G, Argyle Township. No injuries were reported and Mueller’s 1998 Mercury received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
● 9:40 a.m. Thomas M Riechers, 68, Belmont was arrested for Operating while Intoxicated on CTH X, Elk Grove Township. Riechers was released to a responsible party. Riechers was also cited for Littering.
● 10:39 a.m. Adam D Bliss, 42, Monroe was arrested on CTH K in the City of Darlington on a Probation Violation and transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody.
● 3:19 p.m. A deputy responded to S McKnight ST in the Village of South Wayne for a civil dispute.
● 9:00 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 81, Argyle Township for a one vehicle accident. Braelyn R Meinert, 16, Argyle was traveling eastbound on STH 81 in a 2002 Dodge when he struck a patch of ice and entered the ditch, striking a utility pole. No injuries were reported and Meinert’s vehicle was towed from the scene with disabling damage. Argyle Police assisted on scene.

On March 15:
● At 5:09 p.m., Deputies responded to the 1400 block of STH 69, in the Town of New Glarus, for a three vehicle crash with injuries. The investigation found that Ronnie L. Bircher, 66, of New Glarus, was traveling southbound when he struck a slowing vehicle ahead of him. The driver of the slowing vehicle, Christopher W. Anderson, 45, of Monroe, then struck a truck in front of him and then entered the east ditch. The driver of the truck, Ryan E. Wiesenberg, then came to a stop. Bircher was wearing his seatbelt and sustained minor injury. Bircher’s vehicle sustained disabling damage, with airbag deployment and was towed from the scene. Anderson was wearing his seatbelt and sustained minor injury. Anderson’s vehicle sustained disabling damage, with no airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene. Wiesenberg was wearing his seatbelt and uninjured. Wiesenberg’s vehicle sustained functional damage, with no airbag deployment, and was driven from the scene.
