Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of Feb. 13 to Feb. 19, police performed 13 security checks, 18 citizen assists, eight assists of other agencies, 12 follow-ups to incidents, 12 vehicle registration and three traffic stops; responded to 31 calls for service and reported seven EMS calls, 10 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and one fire call. No detox or mental health transports were reported. 

●  A code violation involving a running semi was reported at 9:25 p.m. Feb. 13 in the 1600 block of West 8th Avenue.  

●  Disorderly conduct was reported at 4:07 p.m. Feb. 14 in the 1900 block of 1st Center Avenue. A warning was issued. 

On Feb. 15: 

●  Five cases of truancy were reported at 7:53 a.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. Warnings were issued. 

●  Disorderly conduct was reported at 12:31 p.m. in the 1400 block of 21st Street. 

●  Annoying calls were reported at 1:12 p.m. in the 400 block of East 4th Avenue. 

●  An abandoned vehicle was reported at 2:50 p.m. in the 1600 block of 20th Street. Warnings were issued. 

On Feb. 17:

●  A Brodhead man, 17, was cited for non-registration of auto and no vehicle insurance at 2:27 p.m. in the 600 block of 15th Street. 

On Feb. 18: 

●  Theft of an ATV was reported at 12:58 p.m. in the 900 block of East 4th Avenue. This remains under investigation. 

●  Theft of a trailer was reported at 11:55 p.m. in the 700 block of 5th Street. This remains under investigation. 

On Feb. 19: 

●  A traffic crash was reported at 11:37 a.m. in the 1600 block of East 3rd Avenue. Property damage only crash. No citations were issued. 

●  A Brodhead woman, 47, was cited for driving after suspension at 9:13 p.m. in the 1200 block of 1st Center Avenue. 

 

Monticello Police 

MONTICELLO — Police issued a parking citation at 2:45 a.m. Feb. 12 in the 100 block of North Main Street. 

On Feb. 13:

●  A sewer back-up was reported at 8:47 p.m. at a residence in the 100 block of South Main Street. Public works was contacted to assist.

On Feb. 15: 

●  Police conducted security for a basketball game at 7:11 p.m. at the Monticello High School. 

On Feb. 16:

●  Attempted fraud was reported at 12:06 p.m. in the 200 block of South Pierce Street. 

On Feb. 17: 

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 9:13 a.m. in the 400 block of North Pratt Road.  

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 3:20 p.m. This matter is under investigation. 

 

Monroe Police 

MONROE — Josue J. Herrera Hernandez, 28, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of domestic disorderly conduct and battery at 11:07 p.m. Feb. 19 at a residence in the 2400 block of 10th Avenue. He was jailed. 

On Feb. 22:

●  Dennis E. Beutel, 51, Monroe, was arrested on two counts of felony bail jumping at 1:05 a.m. in the 2100 block of 15th Street. He was jailed. 

 

Green County Sheriff 

MONROE — On Feb. 18: 

●  Robert K. Zipsie, 26, Blanchardville, was arrested on a charge of domestic disorderly conduct and on a probation hold at 6:20 p.m. in the N7900 block of Gould Hill Road, Town of York. He was jailed. 

●  Katalina L.J. Smith, 19, Monroe, was cited for disorderly conduct at 10:56 p.m. in the W6800 block of County B, Town of Clarno. 

On Feb. 19:

●  Misty R. McConnell, 35, Beloit, was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant at 6:09 p.m. in the W400 block of Wis. 81, Town of Spring Grove. She was jailed. 

●  Ernaldo Oyes-Rizo, 34, Blanchardville, was taken into custody at 6:57 p.m. in the N9600 block of County J, Town of York. He was jailed.

On Feb. 22:

●  John L. Carothers Musynski, 30, Monroe, was arrested on a probation violation at 1:32 p.m. He was jailed. 

On Feb. 23:

●  An abandoned vehicle on the roadway was reported at 11:56 a.m. in the N5600 block of Wis. 104, Town of Albany. Dustin R. Foster, 27, Brodhead, was cited for driving after revocation. The vehicle was towed. 

 

Darlington Police 

DARLINGTON — Angel Calihua-Panzo, 32, Darlington, was arrested on a charge of driving after revocation at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 17 on West Alice Street. She was also cited for no vehicle insurance. 

On Feb. 18:

Julio Cesar Flores, 51, Darlington, was arrested on a charge of domestic disorderly conduct at 1:51 p.m. on Louisa Street. He was released. 

On Feb. 22:

●  Quinton A. Yell, 31, Shullsburg, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia at 10:45 p.m. on Wis. 23. 

 

Lafayette County Sheriff 

DARLINGTON — On Feb. 17: 

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 5:29 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs. 

●  A civil dispute was reported at 6:39 p.m. on 3rd Avenue in Benton. 

●  Jeremy J. Rutherford, 43, Shullsburg, was arrested on Lafayette County warrants at 7:40 p.m. He was jailed. 

●  A disabled vehicle was reported at 11:34 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Gratiot. 

On Feb. 18: 

●  An animal problem was reported at 6:13 a.m. on County I, Town of Benton and at 1:50 p.m. on West Grove Street in South Wayne. 

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 12:14 p.m. on Aetna Road, Town of Benton. 

●  Deputies assisted Darlington police with a domestic dispute at 12:28 p.m. on East Louisa Street in Darlington. 

●  A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 8:10 p.m. on County W, Town of Monticello. 

On Feb. 19:  

●  Wilmer Maldonado-Sanchez, 39, Darlington, was cited for driving without a license and no vehicle insurance at 5:20 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington. 

●  An animal problem was reported at 7:37 p.m. on West Water Street in Shullsburg. 

●  An animal bite was reported at 8:51 p.m. on Faymont Road, Town of Darlington. 

On Feb. 20: 

●  Deputies assisted Green County Sheriff’s Office at 1:43 a.m. in Argyle. 

●  A deputy assisted Platteville police at 6:29 a.m. on Stone Hill Avenue in Blanchardville. 

●  Mark T. Stemrich, 33, Blanchardville, was cited for failure to report an accident at 7:34 a.m. on County F, Town of Blanchard as a result of a vehicle in the ditch 

●  A civil dispute was reported at 10:18 p.m. on County Y, Town of Woodford. 

●  Charles S. Martelle, 58, Darlington, was arrested on a probation and parole violation at 11:15 a.m. on Lancaster Road, Town of Darlington. He was jailed. 

●  James J. Healey, 63, Dubuque, Iowa, was cited for unreasonable and imprudent speed at 4:14 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington. 

●  A deputy assisted the Darlington police at 10:53 p.m. on Wis. 23 in Darlington. Darlington Fire Department and Lafayette County EMS assisted.

On Feb. 21: 

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 12:11 a.m. on County W, Town of Benton. 

●  John T. Roelli, 46, Darlington, was cited for no proof of vehicle insurance and non-registration of auto at 9:48 a.m. on Fayette Road, Town of Darlington. 

●  A deputy assisted Waukesha police at 10:15 a.m. on Shawnee Road, Town of New Diggings. 

●  A deputy responded for traffic control at 11:30 a.m. on Wis. 11 in South Wayne. 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 6:15 p.m. on Ohnstad Road, Town of Darlington. 

On Feb. 22:

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 7:42 a.m. on County N, Town of Wiota. 

On Feb. 23: 

●  A deputy assisted Shullsburg police with a check welfare at 4:27 a.m. on West Water Street in Shullsburg. 

●  Deputies responded to check welfare at 5:08 p.m. on South Lake Road, Town of Argyle and at 7:11 p.m. on East Main Street in Benton. 

●  An erratic driver was reported at 5:47 p.m. on Gassman Lane, Town of Belmont. 

●  An animal noise complaint was reported at 9:15 p.m. on Noble Street in Gratiot. 

●  Threats to injure complaint was reported at 9:53 p.m. on South Sidney Street in Shullsburg. 

●  Shayna N. Krebs, 24, South Wayne, was cited for non-registration of auto at 11:27 p.m. on South Galena Street in South Wayne.
