NEW GLARUS — On June 3:
♦ Toni M. Jansen, 26, Blanchardville, was cited for driver not wearing a seatbelt, and Crystal B. Richardson, 37, Blanchardville, was cited for passenger open intoxicants at 8:41 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue.
♦ A vehicle was cited for parking in the wrong direction at 11:21 p.m. in the 600 block.
On June 4:
♦ Police assisted an outside agency with information on a case they were handling at 10 a.m.
♦ Police assisted a citizen with a lockout at 10:52 a.m. in the 800 block of 3rd Avenue.
♦ Police assisted a citizen at 1:10 p.m. who needed fingerprints taken for an application.
♦ Two children’s bicycles were located in the village park at 1:59 p.m. Police took possession of them.
♦ Police responded at 5:21 p.m. in the 1200 block of 5th Street for a medical call.
♦ Police assisted a citizen at 6:11 p.m. who wanted their spring trash picked up. They were referred to the business office at the village.
♦ Police unlocked a vehicle at 8:34 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park.
♦ Police and medical personal responded at 10:22 p.m. to an address in the village for an injured person.
On June 5:
♦ Theft of a lawn mower was reported at 10:14 a.m. in the 1100 block of 4th Street. If anyone has any information, they are asked to call the New Glarus Police Department. If anyone accidentally thought it was left for junk days and took it, they are encouraged to bring it back to the New Glarus Police Department.
♦ A lost pair of glasses was reported at 4:21 p.m. If located, bring them to the police department.
♦ Police responded at 5:11 p.m. to the 700 block of 2nd Avenue for a 911 misdial.
♦ Police assisted the Green County Sheriff at 5:24 p.m. with traffic control for a road hazard on County W.
♦ Police assisted the Green County Sheriff with a car-versus-deer crash at 5:40 p.m. on Wis. 69 at Dean Lane.
On June 6:
♦ A dog at large was reported at 9:54 a.m. The dog was returned to its owner.
♦ Police assisted a citizen with a vehicle lockout at 11:21 a.m. in the 10 block of 6th Avenue.
♦ Police received a complaint of a dog that showed up at a business at 5:43 p.m. in the 200 block of Hoesly Drive. The dog’s owner was located.
♦ Young juveniles walking at 7:15 p.m. in the 400 block of Wis. 69 was reported. The area was checked and the juveniles were not located.
♦ Disorderly conduct was reported at 9:55 p.m. in the 700 block of Railroad Street. The subjects were contacted and they then dispersed. No further action was needed.
On June 7:
♦ Police assisted the Green County Sheriff with an open door at 12:25 a.m. at a location in New Glarus Township.
♦ Police conducted a vehicle unlock at 7:31 p.m. in the 1000 block of Wis. 69.
♦ Police conducted a vehicle unlock at 8:59 p.m. in the 200 block of 4th Avenue.
♦ A suspicious vehicle was reported at 9:55 p.m. in the 1500 block of 2nd Street.
♦ Police assisted the Green County Sheriff with a traffic hazard at 10:22 p.m. in New Glarus Township.
♦ A cellphone found in Village Park was turned in to police at 10:27 p.m.
♦ Suspicious persons was reported at 11:39 p.m. in the 100 block of 5th Avenue. Police stayed in the area until the subjects left town.
On June 8:
♦ A bad check was reported at 10:25 a.m. The incident is still under investigation.
♦ Jessica L. Deegan, 20, Brooklyn, was cited for illegal window tint at 6:17 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 14th Avenue.
♦ Dalton L. Goetz, 21, Monroe, was cited for operating a motor vehicle without insurance at 7:11 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue.
♦ Alex D. Gertsch, 24, Gratiot, was cited for illegal window tint at 7:34 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue.
On June 9:
♦ Police assisted a citizen with locking a door at 10:59 p.m. in the 300 block of 2nd Street.
♦ Police found a phone at 11:13 p.m. in the 300 block of 2nd Street. The owner was located, and it was returned.
♦ James A. Smelzer, 49, Mount Horeb, was cited for passing at an intersection and operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license at 12:29 p.m. in the 10 block of 6th Avenue.
♦ A traffic complaint was reported at 3:04 p.m. that started in the county. Officers made contact with the subject and found everything was fine.
♦ Several items lost on the Sugar River Bike Trail were reported to police at 3:24 p.m.
♦ A cellphone was turned into police at 3:49 p.m. located in the festival area. It was later returned to its owner.
♦ Vehicles illegally parked were reported at 3:52 p.m. in the 400 block of 3rd Street.
♦ Two vehicles were cited at 3:54 p.m. for parking violations in the 300 block of 4th Avenue.
♦ A debit card found in the 500 block of 1st Street was turned over to police at 6:46 p.m.
On June 10:
♦ Police assisted a citizen who locked their keys in their vehicle at 11:32 a.m. in the 900 block of 2nd Street.
♦ Police removed a mattress from the road at 2:36 p.m. in the 300 block of 5th Avenue.
♦ Police responded to a child custody dispute at 5:15 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st St.
♦ A 911 misdial was reported at 5:36 p.m. in the 700 block of 2nd Avenue.
Monroe Police
MONROE — On June 10:
♦ Matthew J. Teasdale, 44, Monticello, Iowa, was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Monroe Police Department for charges from a 2015 domestic disturbance incident in Green County at 6:10 p.m. in the 200 block of 6th Street. Teasdale was confined to the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
