Monroe Police

On June 25:

● 3:05 a.m., Officers initiated a traffic stop in the 1600 block of l6th Avenue. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Ariel Antonio Lopez Carrasco, 35, of Monroe for Operating a Motor Vehicle while Under the Influence of Intoxicants. Ariel was also cited for Operating without a Valid Driver’s License and Recldess Driving. Ariel was released to a responsible party pending his mandatory court appearance.

● 6:39 p.m. Officers responded to the 500 block of 22nd Avenue for a report of a subject with a valid DOC Warrant. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Marissa L. Heim (27) of Monroe on a Probation and Parole Warrant. Marissa was confined to the Green County Jail pending her appearance in court.

● 07:33 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of 4th Avenue West for a report of Domestic Abuse. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Billy J. Grmnell,60, of Monroe for Disorderly Conduct under Wisconsin’s Domestic Abuse Laws. Billy was confined to the Green County Jail until cash bond is posted or his appearance in court.


Green County Sheriff

On June 19:

● At approximately 10:07 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the W3800 blk of STH 11, Town of Sylvester, after they observed it leave its lane of travel and almost contact another vehicle. Investigation resulted in the operator, Abel Tomas-Hernandez, 33 of Monroe, being arrested for Operating While Under the Influence of Alcohol - 1st Offense. Abel was also issued a citation for Prohibited Alcohol Concentration and was later released to a responsible party with a future court date.

On June 20:

● At approximately 11:05 a.m., Deputies responded to the Green County Probation and Parole Officer, 2841 6th St., Monroe, and placed Ayinde I. Oston, 43 of Monroe, for a probation hold. Ayinde was transported to the Green County Jail where he will be held.

● At approximately 9:34 p.m., Deputies, New Glarus First Response, and the New Glarus Fire Department, responded to the N9500 block of County Highway J, Town of York, for a two vehicle crash with unknown injury. Investigation determined a northbound vehicle, being operated by Nancy Shulka, 71 of Blanchardville, crossed the centerline and made contact with a southbound vehicle. Nancy’s vehicle continued northbound, entered the west ditch and struck an embankment, coming to a rest. The southbound vehicle, operated by Kristin Vike-Steinich, 43 of New Glarus, lost control after the collision, entered the west ditch and came to a rest on it’s passenger side. Kristin and the passengers all reported wearing their seatbelts and not being injured. Nancy reported wearing her seatbelt and sustained minor injury that she declined medical attention for. Both vehicle sustained disabling damage with airbag deployment and were towed from the scene.

On June 21:

● At approximately 9:52 p.m., Deputies were notified of a vehicle in the ditch in the N2100 block of State Highway 69, Town of Clarno. A subsequent investigation found that Trevor L Aebly, 25, of Monroe, was southbound when his vehicle left the roadway and entered the ditch. Aebly sustained injury as a result of the crash. Aebly further reported wearing his seatbelt and there was airbag deployment. Aebly’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Aebly was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated (2nd Offense) and cited for Failure to maintain control of vehicle. 

On June 24:

● At approximately 3:47 a.m., Deputies responded to the W9300 block of County Highway MM Town of Cadiz, for a report of a single vehicle accident. Investigations revealed a vehicle operated by Porter L Olson, 19, of Brooklyn, was eastbound, when he swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway. Olson’s vehicle entered the ditch, struck a culvert, and came to rest in a field. Olson reported no injuries, reported wearing his seatbelt, and no airbag deployment. Olson’s vehicle was towed from the scene.

● At 2:40 p.m., Deputies responded to the area of County Highway E and Golf Course Rd, Town of Decatur, for a traffic complaint. Deputies located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. As a result Mya M Waterman, 22, of Monroe, was arrested for Operating While under the Influence (alcohol-1st), Operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration, and cited for improper stopping on a highway and non-registration of an auto. Waterman was taken to the Green County Jail and later released to a responsible party.

On June 25:

● At approximately 4:37 p.m., Deputies responded to the N7200 block of County Highway X, Town of Brooklyn, for a report of a subject violating bond conditions. Thomas J Brewer, 47, of Albany, was arrested for bail jumping and obstruct an Officer. Brewer was incarcerated at the Green County Jail.

On June 26:

● At 2:59 p.m., Deputies responded to the W1800 block of County Highway K, in the Town of Spring Grove for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Katie E. Bannick, 23 of Deer Grove was traveling eastbound. Bannick reported another vehicle traveling westbound, operating left of center. Bannick exited the roadway to the south and collided with a traffic barrier. Bannick reported no injuries, was wearing her seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.

On June 28:

● At approximately 8:17 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the W3000 block of State Highway 11, Town of Jefferson, for speed. Further investigation resulted in the operator, Dana M. Sanger-mano, 18 of Brodhead, being cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Dana was issued a future court date and was released.

● 12:23 p.m. Blanchardville Fire responded to Lake RD, Fayette Township for a grill fire. Blanchardville Police and Blanchard-ville EMS assisted
