Brodhead Police
BRODHEAD — For the week of July 19-25, police performed 54 security checks, 25 citizen assists, 17 assists of other agencies, eight follow-ups to incidents, 22 vehicle registrations and seven traffic stops; responded to 45 calls for service and reported eight EMS calls, 18 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and two fire calls. No detox or mental health transports were reported.
On July 19:
● ATVs not stopping at stop signs were reported at 11:48 a.m. in the 1100 block of East 2nd Avenue. The ATVs were not located.
● A vehicle blocking a driveway was reported at 2:30 p.m. in the 800 block of 12th Street. It was gone before an officer arrived.
● A fireworks violation was reported at 9:03 p.m. in the 1200 block of 1st Center Avenue. A warning was issued.
● Loud music at a residence was reported at 9:57 p.m. in the 1500 block of 1st Center Avenue. A warning was issued.
On July 20:
● Harassment involving unwanted online messages was reported at 5:32 p.m. in the 1000 block of 19th Street.
● A dog in a park was reported at 7:47 p.m. in the N100 block of 1st Center Avenue. The owner and dog left before an officer arrived.
On July 21:
● Grass clippings on the roadway were reported at 8:02 a.m. in the 1700 block of 1st Center Avenue. A warning was issued.
● A Brodhead man, 30, was cited for inattentive driving following a traffic crash at 10:59 a.m. in the 500 block of East 2nd Avenue.
● Open intoxicants were reported at 2:14 p.m. in the W700 block of Golf Course Road. Warnings were issued.
● A vehicle parked left of center facing traffic was reported at 2:59 p.m. in the 1300 block of 16th Street. A warning was issued.
● A dead goose in the roadway was reported at 3:08 p.m. in the 500 block of 19th Street. The bird was removed.
● An Albany man, 50, was cited for non-registration of auto at 7:01 p.m. in the 500 block of 1st Center Avenue.
● A vehicle blocking the sidewalk was reported at 7:37 p.m. in the 600 block of East 5th Avenue. A warning was issued.
On July 22:
● A vehicle parked left of center facing traffic was reported at 4:42 p.m. in the 500 block of East 6th Avenue and at 4:49 p.m. in the 1200 block of West 5th Avenue. Warnings were issued.
● A Rockford, Illinois man, 25, was cited for non-registration of auto and no proof of vehicle insurance at 5:48 p.m. in the 2100 block of West 6th Avenue.
On July 23:
● Fraud involving a person receiving counterfeit money was reported at 11:21 a.m. in the 900 block of 19th Street.
● Grass clippings in the street were reported at 1:29 p.m. in the 100 block of 9th Street. A warning was issued.
● Fraud involving a spam phone call was reported at 8:35 p.m. in the 600 block of East Exchange Street.
On July 24:
● Grass clippings in the street were reported at 10:38 a.m. in the 100 block of 15th Street. A warning was issued.
On July 25:
● Disorderly conduct involving a physical altercation was reported at 2:21 a.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue. None of the people involved wished to pursue charges.
● Fraud involving a spam phone call was reported at 8:24 a.m. in the 1500 block of East 4th Avenue. The recipient reported giving out personal information to the caller.
Darlington Police
DARLINGTON — Alejandro Gonzalez-Garcia, 27, Darlington, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at 7:32 a.m. July 27 at a residence on East Louisa Street following a domestic abuse incident. He was jailed on a probation hold.
Green County Sheriff
MONROE — Douglas B. Scace, 49, Browntown, was arrested on a Department of Corrections probation hold at 1:37 p.m. July 27 at the Green County Probation and Parole Office.

DARLINGTON — On July 20:
● Garbage in the ditchline was reported at 3:10 p.m. on Ferndale Road, Town of Willow Springs.
● A deputy assisted with a vehicle unlock at 5:03 p.m. on County D, Town of Darlington.
