Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of Dec. 19 to Dec. 25, police performed 21 security checks, 20 citizen assists, five assists of other agencies, eight follow-ups to incidents, nine vehicle registration and no traffic stops; responded to 16 calls for service and reported 14 EMS calls, 16 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and 11 fire calls. No detox or mental health transports were reported. 

On Dec. 19: 

●  Vandalism involving an egged house was reported at 8:42 a.m. in the 100 block of Cedar Avenue. This remains under investigation. 

●  Vandalism and theft were reported at 5 p.m. in the 400 block of 1st Center Avenue. This remains under investigation. 

●  Worthless checks was reported at 9:21 a.m. Dec. 20 at a business in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue. This remains under investigation. 

On Dec. 21: 

●  Disorderly conduct was reported at 3:16 a.m. in the 500 block of West 2nd Avenue. 

●  A dog at large was reported at 9:23 a.m. in the 600 block of West 2nd Avenue. Police were unable to locate dog. 

On Dec. 25: 

●  Physical assault was reported at 5:39 p.m. in the 400 block of 8th Street. This remains under investigation. 

●  A Brodhead man, 37, was arrested on a charge of bail jumping at 5:49 p.m. in the 1400 block of West 4th Avenue. 

 

Monticello Police 

MONTICELLO — Police responded at 3:05 p.m. Dec. 19 to the village. Monticello Fire First Response and Green County EMS assisted. 

On Dec. 20: 

●  An erratic driver was reported at 9:10 a.m. on Wis. 69. Police were unable to locate the vehicle. 

●  Police located a large amount of debris on the roadway at 10:30 p.m. on East Wisconsin Avenue and Adams Road. The debris was removed. 

On Dec. 21: 

●  Police responded for a citizen assist at 5:38 p.m. It was found to be a civil issue. 

●  A suspicious vehicle was reported at 6:56 p.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69. Everything was found to be okay. 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 1:09 a.m. Dec. 22 in the 800 block of East Lake Avenue. Everything was found to be okay. 

●  A vehicle vs. deer crash was reported at 5:32 p.m. Dec. 23. The caller was advised to call 911. 

 

Monroe Police 

MONROE — Debra E. Hendrickson, 66, Monroe, was arrested on a third-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 2:24 p.m. Dec. 21 on 16th Street and 20th Avenue. She was also cited for failure to stop at stop sign. She was released to a responsible party. 

On Dec. 24: 

●  Troy D. Curtis, 56, Monroe, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 12:53 a.m. in the 2000 block of 16th Street. He was also cited for prohibited alcohol concentration, expired registration and non-registration of vehicle. He was released to a responsible party. 

●  Julie R. Smith, 60, Argyle, was arrested on a charge of retail theft at 6:10 p.m. in the 300 block of 6th Avenue West. She was released. 

 

Green County Sheriff 

MONROE — Earl N. Rucker, 58, Freeport, was cited for possession of 25 grams or less of marijuana and speeding at 10:29 a.m. Dec. 20 in the N7200 block of Wis. 69, Town of Washington. 

●  Laura Gonzalez, 23, Monroe, was cited for speeding and driving while suspended at 10:11 p.m. Dec. 23 in the W4000 block of Wis. 11/81, Town of Sylvester. 

 

Lafayette County Sheriff 

DARLINGTON — On Dec. 20: 

●  Robert J. Folgate, 22, Hazel Green, was cited for passing in no-passing zone and driving without a license at 7:16 a.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg. 

●  Harassment was reported at 8:16 a.m. on Ohnstad Road, Town of Darlington. 

●  A deputy assisted Sauk County Sheriff’s Office at 2:14 p.m. on North Street in Argyle. 

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 3:33 p.m. on Rennick Road, Town of Shullsburg. 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 4:51 p.m. on Pinch Lane, Town of Benton. 

●  An animal problem was reported at 7:11 p.m. on School Street in Gratiot. 

●  Joel E. Luna, 28, Darlington, was cited for bail jumping and driving after revocation at 8:05 p.m. on Galena Street in Darlington. 

●  An injured animal on the roadway was reported at 8:52 p.m. on County N, Town of Wayne. 

On Dec. 21: 

●  Connor R. McGowan, 22, Darlington, was cited for non-registration of auto at 4:50 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs. 

●  Bayron I. Castro-Estrada, 54, Darlington, was cited for speeding at 5:52 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington. 

●  A deputy assisted Shullsburg police with a juvenile problem at 9:18 a.m. on West Water Street in Shullsburg.
