Green County Sheriff

On February 2:

● At 3:39 p.m., Deputies responded to the 2800 block of 6th Street, in the City of Monroe, to assist Department of Correction Agents. Investigation resulted in Royce J. Brauer, 21 of Brodhead being arrested for a probation violation. Brauer was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court

On February 6:

● At 3:51 p.m., Deputies responded to the 2800 block of 6th Street, in the City of Monroe, to assist Department of Corrections Agents. Investigation resulted in Donald G. Bornemeier, 43 of Monroe, being arrested for a Probation Violation. Bornemeier was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court.

On February 11:

● At approximately 11:45 a.m., Deputies arrested, Carrie A. Thompson, 47, of Monroe, on an active Green County Felony warrant for failure to report to jail, and a 60 day commitment for receiving or concealing stolen property. Thompson is being held pending court and ordered jail sentence.


Monroe Police

On February 9:

● At 6:47 p.m., officers were called to a retail theft incident in the 300 block of 6th Avenue West. The investigation led to the arrest of Ian J. Grap, 40, of Argyle, on a charge of retail theft, and a charge of misdemeanor bail jumping due to a violation of bail conditions from a prior case. Grap was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance. 

On February 11:

● At 2:38 a.m., officers conducted a traffic offense stop for an improper stop at a stop sign, at the intersection of 9th Street and 17th Avenue. An investigation led to the arrest of Mason D. Waage, 22, of Argyle, on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-1st offense. Waage was also cited for operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration. Waage was confined in the Green County Jail, and later released pending a court appearance. 

● At 3:31 a.m., officers were called to a one-vehicle versus a residential deck accident with no reported injuries, in the 700 block of 17th Street. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Vanessa Castellanos, 29, of Monroe, was eastbound on 17th Street, turned right and collided with a deck to a residence. Castellanos was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-1st offense, and also cited for operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration, failure to maintain control of a vehicle, and having open intoxicants in a motor vehicle. Castellanos’s vehicle sustained functional damage and remained at the scene, and the deck sustained moderate damages. Castellanos was booked and released to a responsible adult pending a court appearance.

On February 13:

● At 1:40 a.m., officers were dispatched to a 911 call in the 800 block of 30th Avenue. The investigation led to the arrest of Shawn S. Francis, 30, of Monroe, on charges of criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence laws. Francis was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance. 

● At 4:27 p.m., officers were dispatched to a traffic complaint in the 1900 block of 10th Avenue. The vehicle was located and stopped. The investigation led to the arrest of the driver, Brandon S. Richardson, 34, of Monroe, on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-3rd offense. Richardson was also cited for operating while suspended, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and non-registration of a vehicle. Richardson was confined in the Green County Jail.


Lafayette County Sheriff

On January 13:

● 5:28 a.m. A deputy responded to Wis. 23, Willow Springs Township for a vehicle in the ditch.

● 5:36 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH M, Wiota Township for a vehicle in the ditch.

● 5:52 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH F, Blanchard Township for a vehicle in the ditch.

● 6:14 a.m. A deputy responded to Hickory Drive Road, Belmont Township for a vehicle in the ditch.

● 9:00 a.m. A deputy responded to U.S. 151, Kendall Township for a one vehicle accident. 

● 11:46 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH A, Argyle Township for a one vehicle accident.

● 2:20 p.m. Belmont Fire and EMS responded to Wis. 126, Elk Grove Township for a one vehicle accident. 

● 4:59 p.m. A deputy responded to Wis. 23, Willow Springs Township for a vehicle in the ditch.

● 6:12 p.m. A deputy responded to Wis. 126, Elk Grove Township for a vehicle in the ditch.

● 6:37 p.m. A deputy responded to Wis. 81, Elk Grove Township for a vehicle in the ditch.

● 7:11 p.m. Kathleen M Kay, 64, South Wayne was arrested for Bail Jumping and brought to the Lafayette County Jail where she was booked and released to a responsible party. Kay was also cited for Operating after Suspension, Reckless Driving-Endanger Safety, Failure to Yield for Emergency Vehicle, and Operating Left of Center.

● 7:31 p.m. A deputy responded to Wis. 11, Shullsburg Township for a vehicle in the ditch.

On January 14:

● 2:28 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH F, Willow Springs Township for a vehicle in the ditch.

● 10:52 a.m. Deputies responded to Noble Street in the Village of Gratiot for a domestic dispute. Daniel J Stietz, 32, Gratiot was arrested for Domestic Disorderly Conduct and brought to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and posted bond.

● 4:13 p.m. Deputies responded to Wis. 11, Gratiot Township for a vehicle in the ditch.

On January 15:

● 9:49 a.m. A deputy responded to O Neil Road, Willow Springs Township for a one vehicle accident. Megan B Heins, 16, Mineral Point slid off the road and ran into a pole. No injuries were reported. Heins’ 2015 Chevrolet received minor damage and was driven from the scene.

● 9:53 a.m. A deputy responded to Twin Bridge Road, New Diggings Township for a vehicle in the ditch.

● 9:59 a.m. Platteville Fire and Southwest Health EMS responded to Wis. 81, Elk Grove Township for a one vehicle rollover. Jenna C Phillips, 38, Darlington lost control of her vehicle and went into the ditch. Minor injuries were reported. Phillips’ 2011 Ford received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
